JBL 280Z Reviews

Small, well built, lots of features

My only complaint thus far is that there's so many features to this amp that I had to read the manual to figure out how to get it setup. And maybe that the 12 gague wire we were using was too big for the connectors on the back requiring us to trim it down. The amp is great - small but well built. The status lights on the front are bright and easy to see quickly. The option to kick out 70V, 100V or passive speaker signals is great and gives lots of flexibility for applications. The amp itself came with all the required mounting hardware to fit in our rack. I'm highly impressed and wouldn't hesitate to order another JBL CSA amp.

Can this connect to an Amazon echo dot, via an aux cable?
Asked by: Jake
Yes, while the JBL CSA 280Z Audio Amplifier does not have a 3.5mm audio input, it does have RCA and 3-pin block input connectors. To connect a device with 3.5mm audio output, you can use a 3.5mm to RCA adapter cable, like the Pearstone 1/8" Stereo Mini to Dual RCA Y-Cable - 1.5' (B&H # PESMYC2RM1.5), or use the aux cable together with an adapter like the Hosa Technology Stereo Mini (3.5mm) Female to 2 RCA Male Y-Cable (B&H # HOYCSMF2RM).
