Zenelli Carbon ZX Overview

The CARBONZX Carbon Fiber Gimbal Head with Accessories from Zenelli is a lightweight head made from 100% completely hollow carbon fiber. It includes a Save Lenses Lever, and a Quick-Release Lever. Hard-anodized aluminum and stainless steel hardware help ensure high resistance to wear and tear, and corrosion.

The gimbal has a full 360° range of motion for both the pan and tilt, and separate locks with tension control for each. The clamp is compatible with most Arca-type dovetail plates, and is opened and closed via a thumb screw. Grooves in the clamp allow for use of plates with safety stop screws. The base of the clamp can be adjusted 4.8" up and down to balance and adjust the nodal point.

The Quick-Release Lever allows you to quickly open and close the gimbal head's Arca-type clamp. The width of the lever can be adjusted and locked in place for different width plates, and a safety lock prevents the clamp from accidentally opening and releasing the plate. The Save Lenses Lever is mounted onto the vertical arm of the clamp and when activated, prevents the clamp from tilting forward, which might smash the lens into the tripod. This is especially useful when changing camera bodies. A padded shock absorber on the lever protects the carbon fiber from being damaged.

Zenelli Carbon ZX Reviews

Pricey, but might be worth it

I bought the Zinelli gimbal head for design features that might reduce or eliminate arthritis pain when I'm using it. Low weight and little turning movement. It works well, but did not come with a user manual detailing assembly instructions. Neither did I find these on the internet. I just figured it out from my experience with the Wimberly gimbal head.

question

Hi, I'm interested in this Zenelli . Can you get the Zenelli Acra Swiss quick release plate with the stops and bubble level built into the plate. And do you have a Zenelli Brochure showing accessories that you can send me ? FJD Sporting Collectables, Frank J. Dattalo Jr., 400 Sharon Drive, Rochester, NY 14626
Asked by: Frank J. D.
The head does not really have any other additional accessories but what is listed and that is part of the head. And the only item it does not come with is the quick release plate. The plate is Arca-Swiss style and there are many plates available and it as to the correct one it depends on the lens you will be using on the head.

Compared to CarbonZX and ZC Plus models, which one is better for Nikon Z9 + 600 F4 TC on both monopod and tripod?
Asked by: Michael
The Zenelli CARBONZX Carbon Fiber Gimbal Head with Accessories is the best and strongest out of the two. Both can do the job. And for use on both a tripod and monopod, the ZX is also the better way to go with a Nikon Z9 + 600 F4 TC.

question

I plan on using this with a Nikon 400 2.8E and would like to inquire if it will mount on this out of the box? Any other accessories I would need? THanks!
Asked by: Jonathan M.
Hi Jon, I shoot a Nikon 200 to 400 2.8 most of the time. I had to buy a small rail that attaches to the arm on the lens. That then the slides into the existing bracket slot on the gimbal head. The little rail was probably a $20 item. You can get them anywhere. They are pretty universal.
