The BG-N15 Battery Grip from Vello is designed specifically for the Nikon D750 DSLR camera and accepts one Nikon EN-EL15 battery. With one battery in the grip and one in the camera, your shooting time is effectively doubled. The BG-N15 can also hold and utilize six AA batteries. Two battery trays, one for the EN-EL15 and one for the AAs, are included.

The design of a battery grip offers a comfortable and secure way in which to hold your DSLR, especially in the vertical position. The BG-N15 comes with an alternate shutter release button to facilitate shooting when held vertically. The shutter button offers a lock position to prevent accidental release. In addition, the grip has an alternate AE-L / AF-L button, multi selector and main and sub-command dials. A tripod socket is included as is a holder for the camera's contact cover so as not to lose it when it has been removed to install the battery grip.

BG-N15 Battery Grip for Nikon D750 is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 100.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Inconsistent contact I have a consistent problem with contact between the Vello battery holder and grip that forced me to return this item twice. The third one has the exactly same problem which really puzzles me. When no battery is in my Nikon D750, inserting the battery holder into the grip triggers the camera's memory card access light on and the camera recognizes the battery. But it happens only five or six times out of ten. For the failed five or four times, I had to redo it or jiggle the holder to get sold contact. But, when a battery is in my D750, inserting the Vello battery holder in the grip does not turn on the memory card access light but the camera recognizes the battery all the time. 100%. Except for the problem, I am happy with the overall quality.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Camera did not recognize battery, and dials do not work. Just received this grip, and very disappointed. Camera will not recognize the battery in grip, and command dials did not work. The only thing that worked on the unit was the shutter button, so if I wanted this just to shoot vertical in standard grip position, it would be fine. Tried different combination of batteries, switched batteries from camera to grip and vice versa, removed battery from camera and tried with just battery in grip, nothing worked. Maybe I just got a bad unit. I am returning for another one in exchange. Hopefully a replacement will work.... I'd hate to have to splurge for $$for the Nikon version when this one is so much less..

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not an exact match Like many of you, I love my Nikon camera and paid a descent amount of money for it. If I want additional accessories I like to try other brands to save money. I have found a brand that looks, feels and is the exact same size as the Nikon battery grip but this is NOT it. I bought this with the D750 along with the Really Right Stuff L bracket and the L bracket doesn't fit, the grip doesn't look or feel the same as the camera. I even had difficulty getting the Nikon battery to snap in. I ordered a new grip made by Keikos and returning this one. The one I bought for my D600/610 has been working great since 2013.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not work fine The grip consumes a lot of battery when I use the pack either AA alkaline or NiMH batteries, the camera fails to make 200 shots in the viewfinder and mark me that the battery needs replacement. 2- when I perform a vertical photograph and when I take the photo on the LCD of the camera I get the words Err and would not let me continue taken photos, nor let me turn off the camera, to make I had to remove the original battery body. After replacing the original baterial and grip with freshly charged NiMH batteries and I try to make another vertical photo and the same error occurs, which I take to remove the grip of the camera and work only with the original battery

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Only second party grip to condider Very well built, very comfortable. Great, tight, fit. Everything works. There are a lot of second party grips at other sites but my suggestion is to get either the Nikon or the Vello. Don't mess around with lesser priced grips who's names you can barely pronounce. B&H doesn't sell everything and anything they can. They vet their manufacturers and their products to ensure their customers are getting the best value for their money... not the cheapest item that you will ultimately be disappointed in. There is a reason that there are grips out there that costs half the price. It's called almost total lack of quality control and making a quick buck with no customer service. B&H and Vello stand behind their products. Believe me, I've tried to go the other route and have wasted my time and money. This grip's controls are so smooth and nice along with the shutter. Very close to the camera body. This is something you will not find on the lesser grips. Even something as simple as the tripod screw hole is better, deeper, stronger. There is a 3rd party brand that you cannot attach securely to a tripod because that screw hole isn't deep enough!! Again, don't waste your time and money. Get the Nikon or the Vello.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice 3rd Party Alternative I recently upgraded to a D750 and wanted a battery grip for both the versatility of being able to shoot in portrait orientation as well as having a secondary battery source. Like many others, I felt that the Nikon MB-D16 grip is extremely overpriced. I opted for the Vello BG-N15 based on the reviews of other users and am quite satisfied so far. The fit and function of the Vello grip is what I would expect and I have not had any issues. The only gripe, albeit a very minor one, is that the finish of the Vello is not on par with the D750 body. For roughly one-quarter the cost of the Nikon this is one really good deal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Stuff This is my first time using a grip and at first it's a big jump in size and weight. After shooting with it for two weeks I love it. The extra dials and shutter release when shooting vertical is really nice. The extra battery juice is nice too. Wouldn't fit in my old camera holster so I had to upgrade to a Pro type case. Fit and finish are good. Build quality is solid. I notice a little flex sometimes when holding the grip and swinging a 70-200 F2.8 around, but it's a minor thing. I would like to see a place to add a shoulder strap in the base and I think it could be trimmed down by 10 - 15% in size.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from a completely competent stand-in for Nikon-brand grip For the money, this is tops. I have a OEM grip on my other body, and there are very few differences functionally. The OEM is built tougher, but I'm generally not clubbing people with my cameras, so this seems fine. We'll see, but so far, so good.
