DMX Operator 384 Lighting Console is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent board Purchased this as an exchange from an ADJ Hexcon console. You can read the previous review of that console over there. Primary use for a small church worship area. Controlling 16 multi-colored LED PAR cans (RGBAW-UV) on one fixture (set up as 8 channel mode), and eight house lights on a four channel dimmer pack. They reside on channels 9-12. The unit has a good solid feel. The sliders are standard feel and don't feel like they are flimsy. A note on that is the sensitivity is touchy if you are shooting for exact numbers when color mixing(minus a star). The buttons work fine (no flakiness) and programming scenes are straight forward, just don't rely on the label on the bottom, refer to the manual. When coming out of blackout mode at power up, Scene one takes precedence. That's not bad if you have scene one recorded with a default interest (IE. I have mine set up as a House Light color mixture to start). For the price point, it also offers both MIDI input AND output for software you might wish to try with it (FreeStyler for example). There is an audio jack if you want to sync up the board to music. Standard 3-pin DMX control. All in all, the unit seems sturdy, works fine, and is a lot more intuitive to use than the previous board I attempted to use.
