This B&H Kit combines the Lexar Professional Workflow HR2 4-Bay Thunderbolt 2/USB 3.0 Hub with the Lexar Professional Workflow CFR1 Card Reader for CompactFlash Cards . This kit is designed for those who want to transfer content from CompactFlash UDMA 7 memory cards to their Windows or Mac compatible system. While this kit is designed to take advantage of Thunderbolt 2 and USB 3.0, it is also backwards compatible with Thunderbolt and USB 2.0.
The Lexar Professional Workflow HR2 4-Bay Thunderbolt 2/USB 3.0 Hub is a 4-bay hub that supports Lexar's Professional Workflow line of USB 3.0 storage drives and Thunderbolt 2/USB 3.0 card readers that are compatible with SDHC/SDXC UHS-I and UHS-II, CompactFlash UDMA 7, XQD, CFast 2.0, and microSDHC/microSDXC UHS-I cards. You can connect this hub using either Thunderbolt 2 or USB 3.0 technology, as well as add up to four flash-based storage drives to this hub and store transferred files. However, even if you connect this hub to the computer with Thunderbolt 2, the drives and readers will still operate at USB 3.0 speed. However, because Thunderbolt 2 supports a faster overall speed, you can use all four devices in the bay simultaneously, without suffering any degradation in transfer speed.
The Lexar Professional Workflow CFR1 Card Reader for CompactFlash Cards is a USB 3.0 reader designed for use within the Lexar Professional Workflow HR2 Hub. The compact form fits within one of the four bays of the HR2 Hub to enable its use along with up to three additional Professional Workflow Card Readers. Alternatively, this reader can be used independently of the hub as a standalone reader along with the included USB cable. This reader is designed for use with CompactFlash UDMA 7 memory cards and supports USB 3.0 transfer speeds up to 5 Gb/s.
The configurable structure of the hub allows users to insert a variety of card reader types or 256 & 512GB storage drives based on personal needs. Please note that while this kit only includes a card reader for CompactFlash UDMA 7 cards. Other Lexar-compatible card readers that support SDHC/SDXC, microSDHC/microSDXC, XQD, and CFast 2.0 cards, as well as the Workflow HR2 Hub, are available and sold separately.
