  • 1Description

Take control of the light from your on-camera flash with the white, large Rogue FlashBender 2 Reflector from ExpoImaging. This updated version uses a belt & buckle attachment system as well as newer materials that are more flexible and up to 20% lighter in weight. This reflector measures 10 x 11" and has 3 rods for adjusting the position of the reflective surface. This allows users to easily bounce light exactly where they need it and limit it from spilling into unwanted areas of the photograph. Additionally, it packs flat for easily storing it in your gear bag.

    ExpoImaging ROGUERELG2 reviews

Rogue FlashBender 2 Reflector (Large, White) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 63.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product, awesome company when I went into B&H I was looking for a great tool I could keep in my bag when shooting with a flash -- something akin to a trot-around softbox. I was shown a few soft boxes but they were all pretty blah (large, cumbersome, ugly). then I was reminded of this product.@ I LOVE this thing -- easy to carry, can use for bouncing, can even make a snoot out of it. BUT THEN when I got home with my product I found out that Rogue has a softball kit by looking at the included product catalog! I went back the next day to B&H and bought THAT. it can be used as a box, a strip grid -- @

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor compared to the original... As others have noted there is a cost for a light weight of V2. The new mount is nice, but this version functions no where as well as the original. The new reflective material is cheap, and dramatically lessens reflectivity. ExpoImaging calls this softening with the new version.. other might call it flat. Contrast is poor compared to the V1 and the material is harder to clean (and seems to get dirty easier as it is a fabric base). This was (in my opinion) a poor decision by ExpoImaging. They took an excellent product and in what appears to be a cost cutting measure turned it into a much less desirable offering. If you have V1, keep it, if not, find one if you can.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Handy light modifier I carry a bag full of different light modifiers because there is no perfect solution out there for every situation. I bought this mainly to use as a snoot on my flashes and also as a small bounce card when I didn't need to bother setting up a softbox or umbrella. It is very well constructed, rugged, and provides a versatile way to manipulate the amount and direction of light depending on the situation. As for it's performance, It's a great snoot for use in multiple flash applications. I've even used it with on camera flash as a way to bounce light forward into a medium sized group of people and fill in facial shadows while bouncing light onto the ceiling at the same time. I only wish I had bought this as part of the softbox kit and plan purchase the diffusion panel needed to use it as a softbox in the near future. It's worth the extra investment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good reflector/bounce card I would give this thing a 5 if it didn't cost $40. But that aside I would recommend this reflector over the smaller one which I used for years. I shoot interiors of homes and the larger surface definitely makes a difference in th amount of light cast directly on the room. Combined with the light bouncing off the ceiling the soft direct light gives a nice effect. Larger surface also makes it more versatile and easier to shape. The only downside is you have to be careful when moving the flash because the size and weight easily causes the flash to flop over.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Light Bender Sorta I have 2 of these with none of the accessories sold by Rogue (which would probably increase my enthusiasm for this product). Let me start with what I really like... 1- Packs away without taking up much space, 2- secures easily to my speedlights. There is really only one thing I don't care for about this product. It is difficult to be precise with how you want to block off the light. Could be because as you bend the product it doesn't create straight lines. Although to be fair this isn't an expensive product so what should I expect?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rogue FlashBender 2 makes pictures 100% Better Prior to getting the Flash Bender 2, my flash pictures always came out poorly...either over exposed on the subject, or that unnatural glare on the subject's face. With Flash Bender, it not only spreads out the light via the larger source, but also, some of the light bounces off the ceiling. You can adjust the bending so that it puts the light where you want to bounce it. That means almost no shadows as before, and a more natural face.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I love this thing! I used it extensively during a recent wedding and got much better results than I imagined. For years, I used the pull-out white tab on my Canon 600EX-RT flash, and I usually got good results, sometimes inconsistent, but generally I was pleased. The one thing I didn't like was the lower 1/3 of the frame was underexposed. The white tab simply wasn't big enough to wrap the bounce light down that far. I found in using the FlashBender, every shot was spot on for exposure top to bottom and right to left, as long as I had the Bender shaped properly. It's easy to get the hang of it. The Velcro belt was long enough to get around the sizable head of the 600EX flash. Highly recommended!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A great light modifier! Have used it as a reflector both in the studio and outdoors. Also used it as a snoot and to flag. Well constructed, folds flat. Becoming a must-pack accessory for travel. Like it for lighting those Can you take one over there impromptu portrait sessions. Used within reason (limits of flash power), it's the softbox you couldn't bring along. As others have noted, the Flashbender 2 Reflector size large white surface is smaller than the 10X11 highlighted, both of mine measure 9 in wide X 8-1/2 in high.
