question

are batteries included?
Asked by: Jorge D.
No, batteries were not included with mine - just the torch in plastic blister packaging. Just a note on batteries - I use 2 x plastic holders that each hold 2 x AA rechargeable batteries. Not only are they MUCH lighter than D cells, they are cheaper than buying replacements. I have only recharged the batteries once in the last 2 months. Hope this helps.

question

The Batteries required are 3X D Cell 1.5V batteries that makes it 4.5V, I have a rechargeable battery of 6V, that works fine in the MagLite, is it ok to use the rechargeable battery of 6V or would that be a bit high?
Asked by: Learie R.
I really cannot answer this question ...Having in my possession four different '3-Cell D Maglite flashlights' I have always used, and will continue to do so, - 1.5v 'D' Duracells. These are, I believe, the ideal cells for these excellent flashlights.
