Matias Tactile Pro Reviews
Excellent touch, a bit loud
As a touch-typist who has spent many years as a computer programmer, I find the touch excellent. And I'm fussy about that; I type with properly arched wrists and hit the keys rather hard. (Which may be why I've never had carpal tunnel syndrome or other issues.) I also really like that this is a true Mac keyboard, with all the Mac function keys. That was what decided me on this rather than any other option that might have had a good touch. I haven't needed the special characters yet, but having them printed on the keys is going to be awfully convenient. The one downside for me is that the keys are a little too clicky. I'd prefer a more solid, slightly softer sound. It's fine for my personal use, but I'd probably get annoyed if I had to use it full time for programming. I am going to try putting a mouse pad under each side of the keyboard, so the feet aren't directly on a hard surface. That has helped with some past keyboards, including a couple that were loud even though they had terrible feel. If Matias made this with their Tactile keys (which they didn't, despite the keyboard's name), it would probably be perfect.
Keyboard with real touch
I really like typing on this keyboard. It's just me but I make fewer mistypes since I had it. Not for everyone as it is noisy, but I love it.
