Key Features
  • Holds DSLR with Lens

  • Padded Nylon for Comfort and Strength
  • Adjustable Shoulder Straps
Instead of using a neck strap, transfer the weight and strain of carrying a DSLR camera with an attached lens from your neck to your shoulders with the black HR-DSLR Padded Nylon Camera Harness from Porta Brace. Using a harness spreads the camera's weight over a larger area, and in the process makes carrying a camera for extended periods of time a more comfortable and pleasant experience. This lightweight harness features padded nylon straps for comfort, strength, and durability. The shoulder straps adjust to fit a wide range of body sizes. To attach your camera, simply thread the flat cord loops through each strap lug and connect the loops to the sliding, metal harness clips. This arrangement allows the camera to easily slide between resting and shooting positions.

Fantastic!

I got this on sale last spring, but I would gladly pay full price for it. I used it every day while on vacation- what a lifesaver! I loved the weight distribution across both shoulders, and it was so handy having it readily available. The only thing I might change are the straps that attach to the camera. They work, but they're kind of bulky. Since I have 2 cameras, I got OpTech straps for my second one, and those don't stick out as much. Not a big deal-- I'd definitely buy this again.

distrubutes weight well

Im under 5 tall and was wishing for an additional adjustment strap on the bottom rung. Otherwise the center is up on my neck. Camera sits low on short people, its about to my crotch. I think they could improve with ONE more place to adjust. Other than that, I can see this working well for hiking.

Would this be comfortable for a busty older woman to wear?
Asked by: Michele
I am both busty. I've been having some shoulder issues and wanted to try a harness to better distribute camera weight and figured I would try this out since it was on sale. I just got it and can tell you that it is not an issue with being busty. The brace part stops at the top of the chest and the camera then hangs down sort of like on a regular neck strap. It's neither uncomfortable nor does it draw too much attention to the chest. weird looking. I'm pretty happy with how it looks, actually, although I will want to cover up the label on the back -- I find it a rather unfortunate name. I haven't taken a long walk with it yet, but so far, walking around my property it already feels more supportive than my BlackRapid, and I like that you can easily remove and replace the camera.

I'm 6'2 (used to be 6'4") and 230 lb and it works fine. It should easily work for people several inches taller (I don't have it fully extended).

The PortaBrace HR-DSLR Padded Nylon Camera Harness (Black) was never tested for strength, but according to the manufacturer, it would easily support 20 pounds.

question

Some harnesses have more of an elastic type material and stretch with the weight of the camera. Will this do that or is it stronger material? Also would it hold a Canon 70D with a 600mm lens?
Asked by: Rhonda S.
Does not stretch. I replaced one that did with this and nice to not have camera bouncing around when I walk.I have used it with a 5D III & 100-400 with no problem.
