Available for download, Skaila Kanga Harp Redux from Spitfire Audio is a performance-oriented virtual instrument based on 4041 harp samples. The virtual instrument draws on the sampled material as you play on your keyboard, recreating your playing in harp sound. Sampled by harp virtuoso Skaila Kanga at the Air Studios hall in London, this volume covers essential harp paying techniques such as normale, près de la table, flageolet, sons étouffés, laissez vibrer, and bisbigliando, as well as various special effects. Glissandi patches enable you to play straight and swirly glisses upwards and downwards towards any key in major, minor harmonic & melodic, pentatonic, diminished, and whole-tone scales. Playing sweeps from the keyboard is made easy by the harp pedal control, which allows you to modify the tuning of the harp's strings. For further sound customization there are sliders which control the dynamics, the overall volume, and the release. The Skaila Kanga Harp Redux tops off with a collection of synth-morphed "harpospheres" created using the organic samples as raw material.
