The Rock Solid Baby Ballhead Adapter from Tether Tools is a handy way to turn a light stand into a camera support. The adapter has a 3/8"-16 screw for an optional ballhead and its 5/8" receiver fits standard "Baby" light stands or accessories while an over sized handle securely locks it down. Since the receiver's barrel measures 5/8" in diameter, removing its locking knob allows it to fit neatly into a Junior 1-1/8" light stand's receiver.

I bought this arm largely due to the color, many of the other mounts were silver/raw aluminum and I wanted a black adapter to sort of blend with the fluid head. I'm building a rolling (talking head) rig for inside my little studio and this is mounted directly on an impact rolling stand.
