question

Would act like a ttl. flash on a Sony a7 ?
Asked by: Anonymous
my limited knowledge of the lume cube is that it is not a hot shoe mount. The light is just ON or OFF. You have to figure out what light output you might want and turn the light on with that light output. Then shoot. It in no way coordinates or communicates with the camera. I find the Lume Cube information deceptive if you don't know much about lighting. You see photos of the Lume Cube attached to the camera and you are led to believe that it might work in communication with the camera. It doesntt

No this will not damage the hot shoe as the bottom of the cold shoe does not have any contacts. It's a flat surface.
