SlimBlade Trackball is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 39.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tops for Ease, Comfort and Precision I'm at the computer 12 hours/day and I find a trackball much better than a mouse for my hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder. My Logitech Trackball developed floating cursor and I couldn't cure it. I looked at lots of recommendations from friends and relatives, but no one mentioned the Kensington SlimBlade Trackball. I found it on my own, and it is perfect for me. The large ball makes for easy cursor precision. Its simple clean design is very appealing to me. It's the easiest least stressful pointing device I've ever used. (I started out with a CPM machine so some of you will have an idea of how many pointing devices I may have used over the years.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best PC Navigation Interface Always preferred trackballs over mice. They take a little time to adjust but once you do, the difference is amazing. This model is extremely comfortable and customizeable to suit your preferences as to how the four plate style buttons function. The possibilities of increasing your level of comfort and productivity are unmatched by any other trackball I've seen before. The ball itself serves not only for pointer/cursor control but scrolls when twisted with varying levels of sensitivity that can be easily adjusted with the TrackballWorks software. Highly recommended if you wish to explore options outside of the mouse or touchpad interface

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST TRACKBALL EVER MADE This is by far the best trackball i have ever used.I ordered one of these when they first came out, and absolutely love it.Just recently it stopped working, i wore it out.Heavy gaming along with constant web searching finally got to it. I have had it several years and it has been wonderful.I love it so much that as soon as it quit, i ordered another to replace it.I can't say enough about it.The most comfortable trackball i have ever used and i have tried them all over the years.if you are in the market for a trackball, this is hands down the best ever made.very highly recommend this kensington slimblade trackball.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Product needs one fix I'm an editor and I've been using Kensington Trackballs for ages. The large trackball enables you to effortlessly zoom around the screen and programmable keys help speed up your workflow. I especially like to have a return or enter key located on a button. My one complaint is that for some reason you can only program one keystroke for each button and chord. Older versions of TrackBallWorks used to allow you to program a string of characters per button but that function has been removed for some reason. What's up with that Kensington?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Legend Lives On! I've been using Kensington trackballs for about 16 years. I forget what they called the with one with the wheels but that was my first. I moved to expert mouse when optical technology came out. I still use an Expert Mouse wireless, an Expert Mouse, and now this SlimBlade. Believe me folks NOBODY makes a trackball as smooth as Kensington. I got this SlimBlade to use with my HP laptop because I just couldn't stand the products offered by Microsoft and Logitech. The SlimBlade has a unique way of scrolling by twisting the ball and after two weeks I see the death of the scroll wheel on the horizon - it's that intuitive. If you want a trackball save the money you'll waste on a MS or Logitech ball and pay the few dollars more for the Kensington. You won't go back.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Almost Perfect Purchased this for my new home computer, believing it to be the next generation of the Kensington Expert Mouse Trackball I use at the office. First, the good news: SlimBlade is true plug and play for Windows 7, no sw compatibility or driver issues, pinpoint accuracy, no response lag, use for hours at a time with no discomfort. Everything I hoped for, EXCEPT, now the bad news: it doesn't have a scroll ring like the Expert Mouse TB, and I can't find any other means of scroll control via the SlimBlade. The fact that scrolling can only be controlled via keyboard is a drag, and may eventually cause me to give up and buy another Expert Mouse TB for my home computer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from If you know trackballs over mice you will like this I used the original Kensington trackball on my Fat Mac. I loved it. This new SlimBlade brought me back to that feeling. Thanks Kensington! Trackballs reduce the motion in the shoulder and wrist but increase the motion in the hand. Once your are used to it your arm and body relax, no mouse fatigue. Set it below the keyboard at waist level if you can. Learn to use the scroll and key combinations and you won't miss the wheel button on a mouse. Some tactical learning required but worth it for reducing body strain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excelent Trackball I have used a variety of trackballs for at least two decades. I am really impressed with the Kensington SlimBlade. The ball is the right size for fine graphics work and easy to control. The near switches work well for a mouse's right and left clicks, the top two buttons I have programmed for copy and paste functions. I thought I would not like scrolling with the ball as opposed to a wheel, but have found the ball easy to use and control, just spin it clockwise to go down the page. Overall this trackball is well made and very much worth the $ and B&H got it to me fast and well packed.
