  • 1Description

Sleek and capable, the midnight blue/gray Photo Hatchback Series BP 250 AW II Backpack from Lowepro is designed to hold a DSLR with attached lens, two extra lenses, related accessories, and personal gear. On the front of the pack is a zippered storage area for personal items, accessory pockets, key fob, and a CradleFit pocket for your tablet. Camera equipment is stored inside the removable, padded insert, which is accessed through the back of the pack. Padded, touch-fastening dividers are helpful for organizing gear to your liking. A versatile pack, the insert seals at the top and features two carry handles for storing separately when converting the pack to general usage.

Two mesh side pockets can store a water bottle, mini tripod, gloves, or other items. Well-designed, the pack has a haul strap on top, adjustable, padded shoulder straps with chest connector, and waist strap with a quick release buckle. The back panel is padded for comfort and wicking away moisture. Your BP 250 AW II Backpack is made of tough 600D polyester and 210D nylon. Locating gear in low light is easier thanks to the light gray interior lining. To keep gear protected, the pack has a built-in, all-weather cover.

Lowepro BP 250 AW II reviews

Photo Hatchback Series BP 250 AW II Backpack (Midnight Blue/Gray) is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits everything I want to carry with me The bag has three main storage areas. The back contains the storage compartment for the camera gear. I was able to put my a7r2 with (prime) lens, three additional lenses (2 primes and a 16-35 zoom) as well as my a6000 body with no problems. I use the internal weather pouch to keep the lenses from falling out whenever I open the back compartment. The top compartment is good for misc items like snacks, batteries, keys, wallet, etc. The front compartment is meant for a tablet or something flat, but since I don't carry one on me usually, I use it for other things like hiking sticks. I even stuck two my of tripod legs in there and used that to carry my tripod since there was no other convenient way to do so. Water bottle holder on both sides. All in all, it carries everything I need it to with easy access to all compartments.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bag for a small kit and accessories. I knew when I purchased this bag that I wasn't going to be able to fit tons of photographic equipment in it. I needed a walking around bag. It fits my D750 with one of my zooms (either 28-300 or 24-70) attached, along with a moderate sized lens (105 macro) and a small, fast one (50mm) as well. There is plenty of room for accessory storage (filters, batteries, etc.). It is comfortable and well made.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this bag Purchased this backpack for a recent trip to Yellowstone & the Tetons. Loved it! Was able to fit my Nikon DSLR with a couple of lenses as well as snacks, sunglass case, raincoat, water bottle & a few other small items while hiking. I was able to fit a Sigma 150-600mm lens in the top of the bag & the DSLR with an attached smaller lens in the bottom section. The waterproof cover was utilized more than once & worked great. The backpack was comfortable & fit perfectly under the airplane seat with another larger size tote bag. I rearranged some of the dividers in the bottom section of the bag & removed a few to be more accommodating for the camera when hiking. Was happy I purchased the larger size in this style of backpack to hold all that I needed while hiking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great commuter backpack! I'm in love with this backpack. The pocket in the back for my gear sits in the small of my back and it's all nicely build! The Velcro on the inside is very strong, and the backpack has nice commuter profile to it. The only thing that I would think to add to it is a band on the inside. When I want to take out the bottom insert and make into a full backpack, it would be nice to have like a 1" thick black elastic band to go across the back wall to hold my laptop or books somewhat in place...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yes After a 4-month search I am very happy with this backpack after my first trip. It easily holds the following in the camera storage area: - Fuji X-T2 with the kit lens XF18-55mm F2.8-4 with lens attached - XF55-200mm F3.5-4.8 lens, - XF14mm F2.8 lens - Fuji X-E1 or my X100s - I could have put my XF50-140 F2.8 lens in the pack, replacing the XF 55-200, but not attached to the X-T2 and would have had to put the XF14 mm in the very top storage area. -The backpack also holds my extra large lightweight gortex rain jacket in the zipper slot that can also hold my iPad. Next the top section 2 elastic pockets easily holds 4 extra batteries in one pocket and other items in the other pocket. The zipper pocket easily holds a lot of other smaller items like passport, keys, phone charger, extra cards, etc. The large area at the top can hold a light weight 1/4 zip Extra Large pullover sweater and hat. - Finally an extension tube, small flash supplied with the X-T2, filters, phone charger and snacks can fit in at the same time. - By using the supplied waste strap sliding the backpack off my back and swinging the backpack around to the front I could access the camera storage area when needing to change lenses.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best!!! Comfortable to wear, camera and accessories fit well. I use it with a DSLR camera and a Tamron 70-200mm f/2.8 G2 lens mounted on it, the tripod mount has to be rotated or removed for it to fit. There is some space at the sides for the camera strap but aside that there is no more space at all (on the camera compartment), so if you use a teleconverter or hood, it would not fit. You can keep the hood on the main compartment and then install it before using the camera. With smaller camera-lens combinations you won't have space issues and may even be able to carry additional accessories on the camera compartment. It has a rain cover, which is great as you never know when it is going to rain. The rain cover is easy to install. I highly recommend this backpack!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect Got this bag for engagement sessions because I didn't want to carry my roller bag. Currently I have my 70-200 in the side pouch, 24-70 and in main compartment with tons of extra room leftover, and I use one of the two front zipper areas to carry my small flash point strobe and pack. There is another front zipper area that is basically empty. It could carry a small laptop. I don't put my camera body in the bag because I carry it on a spider holster. Could fit if needed too though.
