Photographer's Formulary Modified Windisch Catechol Film Developer, formulated by William Troop, contains the same chemicals as Windisch Pyrocatechin, but in different amounts.
It works especially well with Kodak Technical Pan Film giving extremely fine grain, high resolution, and normal contrast. A very high degree of enlargement is possible. Tech film should be exposed between 64-125 ASA for use with this developer.
Modified Windisch is very economical per roll of film. The chemicals in the kit are used to make two stock solutions that are diluted 5:3:200 to make 40 liters of working solution.
The shelf life of Solution A is six months, and Solution B has a life of one month. Two packages of chemicals to make Solution B are included in the kit.
