The BlackRapid Hybrid Breathe Camera Strap is designed be worn across a right-handed user's body, draped from the left shoulder to the right hip. A connected camera can then rest upside-down along the right hip so that it can be quickly raised for use. This strap's large, moisture-wicking shoulder pad can also accommodate a second, detachable webbing which is included so an additional camera can be connected and allowed to rest upside-down along the left hip. Additionally, the Hybrid Breathe Camera Strap is an effective option for larger-build photographers who intend to move quickly on flat or rugged terrain.

The Hybrid Breathe further stabilizes an attached camera resting along the right hip when used with its included BlackRapid Brad Breathe Stabilizing Strap. The Brad Breathe secures this camera strap under the user's left shoulder and prevents a camera resting along one's right side from twisting. When camera movement along the wearer's right side is less of a concern, the Brad Breathe is easy to remove.

To attach to a camera or a lens, both of the BlackRapid Hybrid Breathe Camera Strap's webbings feature a durable, brass and zinc-alloy CR-3 ConnectR locking carabiner. Also provided is a BlackRapid FR-5 FastenR Breathe for every carabiner. Each FR-5 FastenR Breathe creates a connection point using a camera or lens's 1/4"-20 tripod mount and has a large, integrated D-ring for easy use with BlackRapid webbings that utilize a CR-3 ConnectR.

The length of each webbing is adjustable from 36.0 to 63.0" and measures up to 1.0" wide. Spring-loaded bumper locks that can be slid up and down the length of the strap's webbings make it especially easy to limit excess camera movement when using the Hybrid Breathe.

A nylon pouch is included for storage and transport, as well as two plastic BlackRapid Lockstar Breathe Carabiner Protectors, both of which are compatible with BlackRapid straps that feature a CR-3 ConnectR locking carabiner. By folding over a CR-3 ConnectR, a Lockstar Breathe prevents unintentional user contact with a CR-3 ConnectR that could cause it to accidentally unlock. Additionally, it helps to block the metal surface of a CR-3 ConnectR from scratching a connected camera or lens.

Hybrid Breathe Camera Strap is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Difficult To Remove From Carabiner I have two BlackRapid straps and they both serve their purpose well except for the carabiner hook. While safety is a big issue BlackRapid's solution is overkill. The carabiner has a 'hook' at the inner loop that catches on the ring of the camera restraint and often requires two hands to steady the ring and unlatch the carbiner. On top of that the sleeve over the release has to be pushed down and it seem to lock itself after lowering the sleeve. There are occasions when we need to take the camera off the strap to put on a tripod or monopod and that process should not be as difficult as BlackRapid makes it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow -- Big improvement over earlier models I bought the Blackrapid Cargo strap quite a while back. While I liked the general idea, I found it hard to use--mostly because it slipped off my shoulder and seemed bulky. It found it's way into the storage cabinet to be pulled out from time to time, but never a regular part of my travel kit.. This holiday, I expected to be in several situations where I needed to carry two camera bodies, so I broke down and ordered the Hybrid strap. I just spent the last week using this strap almost every day, for serval hours at a time -- this one is going to get lots of use! It really works well with a single body+lens and is fantastic for carrying a pair. In solo mode, I've carried a Sony A77II with a Minolta 300mm/f2.8 plus a 2x tele and a Sony RX-10III. In dual mode, I've paired the A77II+300 with an A77+16-50f2.8 and an A77+70-300G. I've also paired the A77II+70-300G with the A77+16-50f2.8. The strap worked better than expected in all cases. While I'm thoroughly impressed with this system, I do have two minor issues. One, the strap still slides off my shoulder from time to time. This happens in solo mode when I squat down. It's not a significant problem, but a minor annoyance. Two, it would be nice to be able to hang a small bag someplace on the strap. Something to carry extra batteries, memory cards and cleaning supplies. I'm pretty sure I'll figure out something in a week or two :).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good strap, but needs minor improvement Used this on 2 shoots so far. Works as expected. I haven't experienced any problems with it. Big relief to get the camera/lens weight off my neck! 4 stars because the attachment to the camera is too awkward if you need to use a tripod. I finally bought the accessory kit for the quick release plate. IMO, this should be included with the strap.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Didn't work as expected I found it very difficult to set up. Unless you're standing still, the strap tends to slip off the shoulder. The stabilizing strap didn't help. The locks on the strap didn't work particularly well either, allowing slippage, which caused my cameras to end up between my thigh and my knees. I found the product to be poorly designed. Would have returned it, but didn't keep all of the plastic bags and packaging. Sorry BlackRapid, but I don't think I'll be buying any more of your products in the future.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice design, not recommended for long use with large EQ Good design, more sleek and easier to get into/out than the harness style for a double camera strap; however, has the obvious drawback from that style of putting weight on one shoulder. Major benefit for me was it fits very well over a jacket or other clothing and the build is very nice. Backpack friendly as well if that's how you roll. With grip-less DSLR's and non-telephoto lenses this works wonderfully - even for full-day shoots. If you sometimes need to shoot with 2x professional bodies (1D or equivalent flagship sizes) and heavy telephotos to boot, then I do not recommend it for long-day use over a harness or simply two separate camera shoulder straps - as you will start to feel that weight on the shoulder over time; especially for an all-day event. Overall, great and sleek alternative to the harness style double straps and something I will be using more often. Oh, and as for getting in and out of it: I found no difficulty once I had it on. To get out, just unhook the camera that is slinging across your chest (or just lift it up), lift the sling strap over your head and remove like a normal shoulder strap. Takes a second.
