Protect your lenses, photographic and optical equipment, mobile electronics, and other valuable accessories from excessive moisture, dirt, and dust with the Ruggard 80L Electronic Dry Cabinet. The cabinet's fast-acting TE Cooling Wafer regulates the interior's relative humidity from 35-60% to help prevent fungus and corrosion that can damage your gear. Humidity adjustments take place over a 1- to 3-hour period.

Fully-featured, the cabinet has a lockable, rubber-sealed glass door, with two keys, and a front metal handle. A large, dimmable LCD displays ambient temperature (in Fahrenheit or Celsius), relative humidity, and other settings. Interior LED lights make viewing and finding gear easier, and both the base and the adjustable steel shelf is padded to help guard against scratches.

The Electronic Dry Cabinet is powered by an included multi-voltage power supply. In addition to being near silent, without a fan or compressor to make noise, the unit is also dripless, eliminating the need for a water tray. To prevent unwanted movement, the bottom of the cabinet has four rubber feet and two are leveling feet for installing on uneven surfaces.

Electronic Dry Cabinet (80L) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 44.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Size and Function The 80L is the perfect size for what I was looking. I was also looking for the smallest cabinet possible to store my two Canon DSLRs (7D MII & 5D MIV), one large lens (200-400mm with internal 1.4 ext.), two medium lens (300mm F4 & 70-200mm F2.8), two smaller lens (17-55mm F2.8 & 24-105mm F4), couple of flash units, spotting scope, and spare batteries. The 80L cabinet did the job nicely. The only problem I had was when I placed the shelf in the middle it interfered with the lock, so I just lower the shelf a little and everything is fine. The unit is easy to set up and it is quiet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent cabinet! Glad I went with the 80L! When it arrived, my first impression of the Ruggard 80L was that it is a very big, well built cabinet that feels surprisingly light. In fact, its sheer size almost had me second guessing my decision, wishing I had gone with the significantly smaller 30L, however that feeling went away once I started loading it up with gear. I bought my Ruggard 80L to store 2 Canon APS-C bodies, 6 lenses (the largest being a 55-250mm zoom), and several photo filters. After loading it up, I found that I had enough room left over for a couple external hard drives, my phone, a tablet, 3 speedlites, and wireless adapters. So far has proven to be a great investment, keeping the humidity levels down to a reported 40%. I live in a very humid climate, where it can be as high as 80% on any given day, so this was a must-have investment for me. I had previously looked in to Pelican cases for home storage, however, that wasn't a very practical nor elegant solution for my needs, so ultimately the Ruggard cabinet was the way to go for me for its ease of access and the peace of mind it provides. In the future, I may consider investing in a full standing cabinet as I acquire more gear. If I do, that cabinet will most likely be another Ruggard.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works fine I have one body, about 8 lenses (2 of them long teles) and it fits it all with some other electronics with room for more (I wanted the 80L over the 30L or 50L anticipating more lenses / electronics down the road). It took a little more than 2-3 hours to get to the target humidity of 35%, but it certainly got into the ~40% range in that time, then got to 35% overnight. It is dead quiet. Glad there is no water tray to empty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It was about time! I've had to have fungus and mold sanitized from lenses 3 times through the years and now through the very humid summer of 2017 I finally said enough of that. The Ruggard Dry cabinet is set at 37% which according to my calibrated hygrometer is an actual 40% moisture content within. I've got 3 Fuji X Pro 1 and 2 XE 1. with quite a few XF lenses and Pentax M42 lenses inside basking in dry air to be fungus free whenever I need them with plenty room for more. Best investment I've made. IT JUST WORKS period.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product, but one minor problem The cabinet is well made with a good magnetic seal (like a fridge door). There is a clearance problem with the locking latch and shelf when the shelf is in the middle position and you try to lock the door. Annoying, but I just positioned the shelf to a higher level which didn't affect the items I am storing on the shelf. Overall though I really like it and will eventually get another one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I was unsure about whether this was a wise purchase or not.. But now that I have it, I love this cabinet. First of all, I live in Hawaii, so you think this would be a no-brainer. But I've only had trouble with fungus once on my lenses and that lens was bought used, so who knows. Originally, I just wanted a cabinet to store all my photo equipment. I had my 300mm f/2.8 in its case and my EOS-1 DX system in its camera bag, my Sony FE 70-200 f/2.8 in its case, and the rest of my Sony a9 mirrorless in its camera bag. I was just looking for something to consolidate all my gear so I wouldn't have to go searching all the time. So I bought this cabinet since it seemed big enough and was humidity controlled. I worried about damage when it was shipped over, but it came through just fine. The normal humidity in Hawaii is pretty high like 69% and higher so when I first set up the cabinet, it took about 24 hours to get the humidity down to 42%. I open this cabinet at least 2-3 times a day. When I open the door, the humidity shoots up, but in less than an hour it settles back down to the setting I specified. It is silent and produces no vibration. In fact, I don't think anyone else in my family has noticed it, they think it is just part of my usual office side table or something. I don't lock the cabinet door, so I can put the shelf divider anywhere I want. (The lock mechanism can intefere with the shelf if you put the shelf right in the middle location). It holds quite a bit of gear. In addition to the gear mentioned above, it also holds four full-size Speedlites, two 1.4x teleconvertors, two 24-70 f/2.8 lenses, 100mm f/2.8, 200mm f/2.8, 35mm f/2.8, 85mm f/1.8, and several BlackRapid straps including the Tripod jacket, Peak Design strap, and three Rogue Flashbenders. Since I bought the dry cabinet my oversized photo bag just sits in the closet or I use it as my "trunk bag" for transporting gear in the trunk of my car. Pretty good value for the price. I have no complaints.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Very Justifiable Purchase Judge for yourself which cabinet size (30L vs. 80L) suits your lens collection. You'll ultimately find bigger is better. Dehumidification is the main criteria for its use but so is dust avoidance. Also consider storing and protecting other susceptible optics and electronics. The cabinet is supplied with two 1/4 thick foam shelf liners. Storing lenses vertically optimizes capacity and accessibility with the one adjustable shelf. The unit is well designed, fabricated, boxed appropriately for safe shipment, and was received in perfect conditiona very justifiable purchase.
