Drive Dock USB 3.1 Dual Drive Bay Solution for 2.5" and 3.5" SATA Drives is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid, reliable. Just a little voodoo. Solid unit with aluminum casing. It's heavy and feels like it's built like a tank! It was a little fiddly to get going. Wouldn't power up. A couple minutes with OWC's customer service sorted everything out. Flipped the non-polarized power cord and everything fired up. Working well for the last 2 weeks.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not for this Mac user, no I've had two of these over the past two months, and I'm about to return the second one. The dock shuts down, for no reason. And I don't mean that the drives unmount - the dock itself shuts off, unexpectedly and repeatedly, for no apparent reason. I've used various combinations of 3TB, 4TB, & 8TB SATA drives, along with a 500GB SSD drive, with no improvement. OWC support had no solution except replacement.I doubt the third time will be the charm. If the drives were just unmounting, I might chalk it up to some quirk of OSX or the iMac's USB hardware, but the fact that the entire dock shuts down tells me that there's something wrong with the dock hardware itself. I also have OWC's Thunderbolt dock, with has been flawless. But the OWC USB Dock is completely unreliable. _______________________________________ iMac (Retina 4K, 21.5-inch, Late 2015) OSX 10.11.6 Seagate 8TB drive (ST8000NM0055) Seagate 3TB drive (ST3000DM001) HGST 4TB drive (0F26902) Samsung Evo 850 500GB SSD

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dead in less than 6 months I haven't used this dock much and just turned it on for the first time in a couple months to find it's not working. The lights come on and the drives power up, but there's no recognition of the dock at all and the USB port doesn't even flash that there was any signal at all. I tried 3 cables, 2 computers and 4 different hard drives with no success at all. This is the first dock in 20 years that has failed. I'd recommend not wasting the money on this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solved my Backup problem When I went to Thunderbolt raid boxes I had no easy way to back them up. 32TB of data being backed u pro a bunch of 4TB external drives overwhelmed my system. All were USB3 drives and they ran poorly on a hub. I have the Mac Pro 2o13 an it has 6 USB3 ports but they are shared in pairs. Back up times were TERRIBLE> But with this device I was able to dump 6 power bricks and USB3 ports for a single of each. I just removed the drives for their cases and used this device to access them. I found some nice cases to store the bare drives in as well. Super fast backups when used one bay at a time. If you need two drives at once and access the second baysimultaneously times do increase but the convince is worth it. Mostly I use it one at a time and have the second bay cued up and ready when the first finishes. Another OWC superstar device!
