Does the job

It's a good coil. Not to long but I might have underestimated it's length. I feel that it might be on the short side. If I use a long shotgun mic and have it pushed towards the back to avoid it showing on the edge of the picture, it will be stretched. Good for short mics. If you use a sennnheiser me67 or other long mics and you are using a wide angle lens, this cord will be stretched if you have the mic towards the rear of the camera. But otherwise, it does the job for short mics.

Will this work well for connecting an XLR lav mic to a Rode Wireless Go 2 transmitter?
Asked by: Sean
Yes, this would work well. But keep in mind that it is a very short cable. But if you’re looking to have a discreet cable between your mic and transmiter, this should be just fine.

Is there a cable like this with a XLR Male end?

Is there a cable like this with a XLR Male end?
Asked by: Barry
Yes, there is a new coiled cable from Deity Microphones, the V-Link 3.5mm TRS Male to XLR 3-Pin Male Microphone Adapter Cable - 12" (B&H # DEDVMVLINK), and a similar straight cable from Cable Techniques 18" 3.5mm R/A Low-Profile XLR-3M Male for RODE Wireless Go Output to Field Mixer and Recorder (B&H # CACTGOX3M18). Both of the cables have low-profile XLR male connector and an angled non-locking 3.5mm TRS male connector. We also have similar cables with locking 3.5mm connectors for use with wireless components like the Cable Techniques Mini TRS to XLR Male Low-Profile Wireless Output Cable - 18" (B&H # CAMINLPBOX18) and the Cable Techniques 3.5mm TRS to Low-Profile XLRM Cable - Balanced, 24", Red Cap (B&H # CACTS2KLO24) .

In theory, the Cable Techniques XLRF to 3.5mm TRS Coiled Cable will work with the Canon XA30 camera, since it does feature a 3.5mm input.
