The overall length and feel are the same as the strap that comes with M11-P, but it has a shoulder pad. More comfortable than the original strap.

This is the second Leica leather strap I've purchased for non-Leica cameras. I like the slim design and the protective flaps that cover the camera's mounting stud, preventing marring of the camera's finish from the metal ring. It's still not as functional as the old fabric strap with rubber shoulder pad that could be folded easily in the camera bag.

For me the attaching ring to the lugs of the camera is protected by a small circular shield. This keeps the metal from rubbing up against the body. Attaching the camera is a bit of pain. You'll need a pair of needle nose pliers and dull knife to hold the attaching ring and open it so that you can attach it. If you buy this camera strap ( and it is really an excellent and comfortable strap) it is worth the money, the pain and anguish. Be patient. After all, look at it as... a learning experience.

This is very similar expect for the way it connects with the camera. That is why this one is made for TL or T Leica cameras that have a different way of connecting a strap than the D-Lux cameras.
