The BQDS Bi-Directional Plate from Really Right Stuff mounts to the bottom of a camera via the 1/4"-20 male screw and gives the camera a quick release function. The plate is compatible with any Really Right Stuff and most Arca-type clamps or ball heads.

Regarding the Really Right Stuff BQDS Bi-Directional Plate for Quick-Detach Strap Swivel, the anti-twist lip is meant to be placed in the front of the camera. It will not fit properly if placed on the back.

Yes, move the screw to the side that is slightly ovesized, then unscrew the stud.

How is camera twist effectively prevented when using this product? The anti-twist feature does not work.
The lip on the front of this plate keeps the camera from twisting when mounted on top, thus keeping it from loosening itself when attached.
