Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love my new keyboard. I like having a dedicated keyboard. As I switched from FCP7 to Premiere recently, and the fact that my dedicated editing keyboard was 15 years old, it was time for a new one. I love the action on this, and the backlighting make it easy to see the keys in my darkened editing bay. This keyboard seems like it is built well and is of high quality. It is a very good value for the investment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A great keyboard that may not feel so natural for Mac users A heavy keyboard that's perfect for Premiere users of all skill levels. It feels natural to use even if you wanted to use the soft plastic cover on it. I highly recommend it, but there are a few caveats Mac users should know before purchasing this. 1: If it's important to you, the lighting work on this does seem pretty cheap, as keys aren't evenly lit and shows an okay paint job. This is purely cosmetic and likely won't matter at all, but do remember that this is a keyboard made to be looked at in the dark during video editing. Though everything is clearly marked, it seems to be just that. 2: This is the one that annoys me. In order to use the F keys above the numbers like Volume Control, you HAVE to press the Fn key to use it. This is huge, as it doesn't feel natural and actually is very annoying. Their site says that you should be able to go into Keyboard Preferences and toggle the Use F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys but this doesn't make a lick of difference. At least not in macOS Sierra (Mac 10.12). This is such a negative because volume control is a huge thing when video editing. 3: The USB ports aren't USB 3.0. It's nearly useless at this point, because if something isn't at that speed, such as memory sticks, you just don't use them anymore. So I have an extra USB cord, that splits from the one that is only for the keyboard which would be used for the ports, that just takes up space now, never to be used. 4: The product manual sucks. Wait, it just doesn't exist. You'd think it's just a simple plug and use device, but Mac won't recognize the keyboard at first and then causes issue #2 that I've just talked about. You won't see this in their product manual or troubleshooting guide and you'd have to google the product name and your issue to find it, because navigating their site is almost useless. It's a great board if you're looking to replace your mac keyboard because it's broken or something, but it has a few issues that won't feel natural.
