I purchased 3 of these to use with a IDX Vlock batteries for small LED lights on a stand. They are lower prices then most of the other VLOCK plates. 1. Unfortunately on 2 of the 3 plates the release button has broken off. I can understand perhaps 1 but it just seems a little flimsy 2. The the 2 screws attaching the clamp to the plate are always coming undone. 3. The D-tap port on 1 of the plates is no longer working. Ive had other Vlock plates that have lasted decades and are still going. Its a little disappointing that these havent really lived up to expectations. I am a news camera operator so they were getting a daily workout but I do look after my equipment. Perhaps for lighter duty that may survive a bit longer
I had been taping batteries to the light stand and this is much easier/quicker to set up than that. Works exactly the way you'd expect and is well built. Seems a bit overpriced but there doesn't seem to be too many other options.
