Epson 12000XL Reviews
Bigger and better!
This scanner is huge, you can't tell from the photo. And so far, I just set it up. I am still learning how to use it. However, after scanning one image, I was blown away by the quality of the scanned images. I have spent 5 months researching the best scanner for artists and when this one was out of stock, I panicked. But BH emailed me when they got them back in stock, so I purchased it right away! No regrets!
Impressive Quality
We replaced a Microtek scanner with this Expression 12000XL. The quality of the scans we get is superior, and its great to have a 64-bit plug-in for Photoshop as well - something the Microtek didnt have unless you go backward to the WIA driver. The SiverFast software that comes with the scanner is far and away better!
Awesome!!!
The scanners (2) that we purchased are great. Software works well. Speed of the scans is good. Quality f the scans are excellent. I have zero complaints as of now. I would recommend the scanner highly. We have been in the color separation business for almost fifty years starting with camera and film separations.
Creates perfect scans
I love this scanner- the quality is perfect and color matching really turns out beautiful. I use it to scan in illustrations and drawings and the detail is really good. It is large and heavy so if it's for home use you will need a spot for it- it is too big to sit on my desk with the computer. Highly recommend it.
Excellent image quality
Scans come out great, even compared to our high-end photo transparency, smaller format Epson scanner, needing little to no correction. Easy to use and pretty fast.
A work horse
I do a lot (1000s) of very large 1200 DPI scans of art. Using a letter size platen each work will take a minimum of 6 scans followed by stitching. The extra size saves hundreds of hours and is well worth the cost.
