Is this compatible with the Canon M6 amd M5?
Asked by: Jesse
I have an M6 Mark II and it absolutely has bluetooth. I don't have the BR-E1 yet but people have reported it works fine with the M6 as long as you have the camera in the correct drive mode.

Yes, but unless you have the Canon-Ef-S 18-135mm IS USM lens and the power zoom adapter, then the zoom buttons on this remote won't do anything.

Can auto focus be used with this remote on the 6D ...

Can auto focus be used with this remote on the 6D Mark II?
Asked by: Michael
I use this remote with my Canon M50 camera. For that camera, auto focus is possible using the small button below the larger shutter release button above it. However, I do not know if it would work specifically with the 6D Mark II. I would check online at the official Canon web site for the 6D MII to see if the BR-E1 remote is compatible. I was not certain if it would work with the M50 until I found an M50 "Help Guide" that described how to pair the camera and remote on page 14; that was enough for me to order one from B&H. (Note: The Canon M50 User Guide had no indication that the BR-E1 would work with the camera.) Perhaps the 6D MII has a similar Help Guide online.
