  • 1Description

Whether you're off the grid or the grid is down, you can power laptops, tablets, lights, TVs, tools, medical devices, and more with the Yeti 1400 Lithium Portable Power Station from Goal Zero. An alternative to the noise, fumes and hassle of traditional backup generators, the Yeti uses a 1425Wh lithium battery that can be charged from 110 VAC house current or solar panels.

The front display panel provides readouts of incoming and outgoing power, and battery status in 20% increments. This real-time feedback enables precise power management. The Yeti provides an array of output options for any energy need. It has two standard 110 VAC grounded wall plugs, four standard USB ports, a 12 VDC vehicle cigarette lighter-style socket and a 6mm 12 VDC port. The battery is easily replaced at the end of its 500-charge life cycle.

The pure sine AC outlets have a maximum surge capability of 3000 watts. The Yeti recharges on AC power in 25 hours and in 16 hours from two Goal Zero Boulder 100 solar panels.

GOAL ZERO Yeti 1400 Lithium reviews

Yeti 1400 Lithium Portable Power Station is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliable Power and lots of it. Truly Plug and Play The Goal Zero Yeti 1400 Lithium is Reliable Power and lots of it. Truly Plug and Play. Many people under-estimate their need for power when purchasing a Power Station (some people refer to it as a Solar Generator). It's easy to figure out how much power you need. Simply take the Watt Rating of what you want to power, ;et's say a 100 watt light bulb as a simple example. This unit has a 1425 Watt Hour ("Wh") rating. SO you'd power a 100 watt light bulb 142 1/2 hours. Remember that refrigerators have a surge start-up, many items do, so you need to use the SURGE wattage rating when contemplating how much power you need from a power station. I.e. Some refrigerators have a start-up surge of 1000 watts but then draw 100 watts or less continuously (at least mine does). There are many brands of "power stations" / "solar generators" but I have found the Goal Zero to be the most reliable and that's what we're talking about here. Reliable power when you need it. I like the LED display which can stay illuminated if you want, as it shows remaining hours hours of power, watt draw, amp draw, input power and more. It have multiple input ports for charging it so you can charge by several solar panels or wall plus at one time, up to 300 or so INPUT watts. As to outport ports: There's USB-A port (output): 5V, up to 2.4A (12W max), regulated, USB-C port (output): 5V, up to 3.0A (15W max), regulated, USB PD port (output): 5V, 12V, 20V up to 3.0A (60W max), 6mm Port (output): 12V, up to 10A (120W max), 12V car port (output): 12V, up to 10A (120W max), 12V Power Pole Port (output): 12V, up to 20A (240W max), 2 outlets for AC power with pure sine wave, 120VAC, 60hZ, 12.5A (1500W, 3000W surge) THAT'S HUGE !!! For charging it: Charging Port (input, 8mm): 14-22V, up to 10A (120W max), Power Pole Charging Port (input): 14-22V, up to 30A (360W max), Expansion Module Port: Covered port under the lid. To be used with Goal Zero expansion modules only. The Yeti 1400 Lithium has a WiFi built in (no you can not use it as a hot spot). Its WiFi allow you to use the Goal Zero App on your smart device to monitor the unit, turn ports on and off etc. The WiFi is 2.4 to 2.5 GhZ. The unit weighs 46 or so pounds. A "luggage cart type" device is available to avoid lifting it. Goal Zero (as of this writing) has a satisfaction guarantee and their support is superb. Warranty is 1 year but if you register it with Goal Zero, it's 2 years. They pay shipping both ways for product replacement. You can't go "wrong" with this Yeti 1400 Power Station or any Goal Zero product. I did not receive the product for free or even at a promotional price to write this review. I just love the Goal Zero products as you can probably tell.
