The black N15D USB DAC and Hi-Fi Network Audio Player from cocktailAudio combines many useful functions into a compact, tabletop form factor. The N15D features an ESS SABRE ES9018K2M reference DAC for accurate, high-quality sound from your computer. It can also serve as a network adapter and player for your existing DAC and amplifier, thanks to Ethernet connectivity, an internal 2.5" drive bay, and USB host ports. A USB adapter (available separately) provides Wi-Fi capabilities for the N15D.
The N15D is also Roon Ready, so it has high-resolution streaming capabilities built in and integrates with other Roon devices and services. The N15D is powered by a dual-core 1 GHz ARM Cortex A9 processor and also supports DLNA and Samba network protocols. For connectivity, it has digital coaxial and optical audio outputs, an analog stereo RCA output, 1/4" headphone output, a USB Type-B input for connecting a computer, a Gigafast Ethernet port, and three USB Type-A host ports. To configure the N15D, you will need the NOVATRON Music X app for iOS and Android, which is available at the Apple App Store and Google Play. Web configuration is also available.
