Think Tank Photo Harddrive V2.0 overview

  • 1Description

Take your photography gear on the road with the versatile, well made, black StreetWalker HardDrive V2.0 Backpack from Think Tank. Inside the spacious, padded, zippered main compartment are touch-fastening dividers for organizing a gripped pro DSLR with attached 70-200mm f/2.8 lens, seven additional lenses, a flash, and the included rain cover. Under the lid are clear-mesh zip pockets for accessories. The rear of the pack features a zippered laptop compartment for your up to 15" laptop and 13" tablet. On the front of the pack are an adjustable quick release strap and a tripod cup complemented by a tripod strap, for attaching a medium-sized tripod.

Also on the exterior front of the pack are two zippered front pockets. The upper one has an organizer panel for smaller items such as pens, batteries, memory cards, and a cell phone. Dual zippered pockets on either side of the pack have matching stretch pockets for storing a water bottle, gloves, or other gear. On top of the pack is an ID card holder and a padded grip handle. For added security, the YKK zipper pulls can accept a user-supplied, optional padlock.

The StreetWalker HardDrive V2.0 is comfortably worn with the padded shoulder straps, chest connector, and removable waist belt. Stretch pockets on the shoulder straps are useful for storing sunglasses or other small items. Above each pocket is a D-ring for attaching a front-mounted camera or other gear. Photographers will greatly appreciate the breathable air-mesh back panel, lumbar support, and cooling air channels. For strength and durability, the pack is constructed from 1680D ballistic nylon, closed-cell PU foam, water-repellent coatings, and antique nickel-plated metal hardware.

Bottom front pocket can be used to carry a tripod or monopod (tripod strap included). A pop-out tripod cup is built-in for carrying a larger tripod.
Think Tank's Thin Skin Belt, Pro Speed Belt, or Steroid Speed Belt (sold separately) can be attached for carrying Modular, Skin, or Multimedia components. The belts allow you to keep gear around your waist, where it's most accessible.

Think Tank Photo Harddrive V2.0 reviews

StreetWalker HardDrive V2.0 Backpack (Black) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great backpack can get uncomfortable though Fits both a Nikon D750 with Tamron 15-30 attached, Nikon 70-200 f/2.8 vrii, Mamiya RZ 67 Pro ii with attached 110mm lens, Mamiya 180mm lens, three 5 packs of 120 roll film, and light meter. Plus a Gitzo Tripod on the outside. That's a lot of fkn gear! Downside is that when hiking with all this gear the waist support is horrendous and you are going to feel it in your back if you aren't careful. Upside, if you need to take a bunch of gear on a plane it still fits under the seat without the tripod on the back. Heavy duty zippers and light weight cover for the weather makes it a versatile well rounded piece of kit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Clean exterior I ordered this for a trip to Africa due to it's carry-on size and it's clean exterior. The packs that I have have lots of straps hanging off them and the waist belts are not removable which makes the pack annoying when carrying them on and off the plane and storing them under the seats. This pack holds it's shape well and doesn't bulge out everywhere which also gets annoying while placing under seats on planes in the little space that you get as well. I like this pack enough that I have another one on the way right now before the trip but the next size smaller, the "Think Tank PhotoStreetWalker Pro V2.0 Backpack" to carry my EF 400 f/2.8 IS with body attached.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Functional and comfortable I'm carrying a Nikon D810, D7100, 70-200mm f/4 VR, 24-270mm, 20mm f/1.8, 85mm f/1.8, and 50mm f/1.8, along with two speed lights, filters, Gorillapod, batteries, etc.. This pack has a comfortable harness with thick padding, rain cover, D-ring attachments for the Think Tank camera strap, etc.. Good protection for the gear, lockable zippers for security, (with your own lock) and it looks good. I'm quite happy, and would recommend this pack to anyone with a similar amount of gear to carry. As always, fast shipping from B&H.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great camera pack I have the V1 of this pack and bought this second one for and Africa trip where my wife is also bring camera gear. My first has been on many international trips. It is small enough to pass as my second piece of carry on, large enough for two bodies (D810 and D850), long prime (500mm f/4 FL), 24-120mm and another lens (usually the 105mm f2.8). Apple 13" laptop plus misc. stuff like pens, extra batteries, passport etc all fit fine. What I like is that everything feels very secure. Padding is excellent. Also very comfortable on my back (at least going through airports, not necessarily on a long hike) even fully loaded.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Backpack, but one thing made me return it.. Needed a backpack to store (and maybe carry) my gear, and Think Tank Photo StreetWalker Harddrive V2.0 is great. It has a nice design, great build, it's firm, has a lot of space, is super big, has a rain protection cape, lots of pockets, BUT... ..despite the announce saying that it fits a 15" laptop, it didn't fit mine. I have a Sager Gaming/Editing laptop and it is thicker than normal laptops, due to the fact that it needs space for its laptop fans. Since the laptop pocket opens facing the top of the backpack (and not the side as it does on V1.0), it just doesn't fit, thats why im giving the backpack 4 out of 5 stars. It saddened me, because i really loved this backpack, but had to return it and trade for a Ruggard Thunderhead 75, that is a little bit bigger than the StreetWalker HardDrive V2.0, but it fits my laptop with my gear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Backpack I purchased this backpack for the 2018 Grand Prix of Long Beach. I carried my 200-500mm Nikon, 70-200mm Tamron, 20mm Sigma, 85mm Nikon, and my 45mm Tamron. That’s not including my Nikon D810 with a battery grip, extra batteries, CF and SD cards cleaning supplies and other miscellaneous things. Although the backpack weighed a ton with all the equipment inside, it’s so comfortable it didn’t feel like I was carrying all that equipment. I highly recommend this backpack and I give it 5 out of 5.
