SanDisk SDSSDH3-1T00-G25 Overview

  • 1Description

Designed for use as a startup drive, the 1TB 3D SATA III 2.5" Internal SSD from SanDisk provides faster system boots and helps enable faster gaming and graphics performance compared to a traditional HDD. It has a storage capacity of up to 1TB, is equipped with a SATA III 6 Gb/s interface, and fits into your system's 2.5" / 7mm drive bay. In terms of speed, this drive offers sequential write speeds of up to 530 MB/s, sequential read speeds of up to 560 MB/s, random writes of up to 84,000 IOPS, and random reads of up to 95,000 IOPS 3D NAND and nCache 2.0 technology.

With solid-state drive technology you benefit from load and access times for your files and programs that are faster than a conventional 7200 rpm hard drive. As SSDs have no moving parts, they are also more durable than traditional hard drives and are better protected against damage from drops and bumps. Having no moving parts also means that SSDs receive less wear and tear, as there are no read or write heads for the drive media to come into contact with. SSDs also help to deliver improved battery life and cooler operating temperatures.

SanDisk's 1TB 3D SATA III 2.5" Internal SSD offers their SSD Dashboard, which is available as a free download, and helps users to monitor their drive's health. Protection is provided by a limited 3-year warranty, or an endurance rating of up to 400 Terabytes Written (TBW), whichever comes first.

General Features

Accelerate Your System up to 560 MB/s
Achieve sequential read speeds of up to 560 MB/s for faster boot-up and improved system performance than a traditional HDD. Load and run applications, games, videos, and photos quickly so you can spend more time doing and less time waiting.
Faster Burst Speeds with nCache 2.0 Technology
Performance is optimized by writing everything to the drive's high-speed buffer before transferring it to the flash array. This architecture helps enable faster burst speeds.
3D NAND Technology
This technology helps enhance drive endurance for improved reliability and lower usage for longer notebook battery life.
Durable Solid State Design
With no moving parts, the SanDisk Ultra 3D SSD is engineered to resist shock and vibration, helping to keep your data safe even if you drop your computer.
SanDisk SSD Dashboard
The SanDisk SSD Dashboard, available as a free download, gives you real-time visibility into how your drive is performing. It includes cloning software to help you set up your new drive, tools for disk analysis, and alerts for firmware updates.

    SanDisk SDSSDH3-1T00-G25 Reviews

1TB 3D SATA III 2.5" Internal SSD is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 19.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great purchase Got this SanDisk SSD to improve performance of my Mac Mini (late 2014) that was dragging from start to finish on every front. Had been advised to replace it with a solid drive and the clerk at B&H recommended this one. Works great, everything is a lot faster and performs as one would expect a computer to function. The tricky thing was to change the drive. But has a step-by-step guide to do it that is very good and clear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Doubled my HD speed It took a couple of tries with Western Digitals software to clown my old hard drive to the new one but after completion it was a great success.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressive I am happy with the SanDisk 1TB SSD.? It is so easy to install, format, and partition that "even a caveman could do it."? I have it paired with a 500MB SSD boot drive.? I didn't need this SSD.? I just wanted it.? Its attractive price was the offer I could not refuse.? The SanDisk Dashboard reports that my motherboard limits the SSD to 3MBS, whereas the drive itself can handle 6MBS.? This dampening of speed is the fault of my motherboard buses, not a fault of SanDisk. Even so, my i5 Windows 10 system is spiffy-fast and quiet as a church mouse.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great upgrade for Windows My laptop is running 16GB of RAM, an i7 processor and a 1TB hard drive. ?(Due to the size, it was slow - 5400 rpm.) ?I wanted an SSD when I bought the laptop 4 years ago, but prices of SSD were sky high if you could find them. ?This is a much more reasonable price. ?If you are maxed out on RAM, this is the next upgrade to look add - the loading and saving process is so much faster and reliability substantially higher as there are no moving parts. ?It breathes new life into Windows based units!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New & Improved Hard Drive I replaced my 1 year old HP laptop hard drive (that bit the dust 2 months after the warranty), with the SanDisk SSD. ?Runs like a dream. ?Also was very surprised that it came with a 5, yes 5 year warranty.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Does not include cloning software. The product does not include any cloning software in a package. Therefore, it was hard to find a proper one that worked. After SSD was connected to the SATA 3 cable adapter the system did not see the disk, moreover, SanDisk SSD Dashboard software did not see the SSD. Acronis True Image WD Edition Software did not see the SSD as well. SanDisk is owned by Western Digital. Apricon software could find SSD but did not let me clone the disk.EasyUS TODO software is free to use, however, it installed Chromium on my laptop and asked me to allow extensions to Chrome Browser. Overall EasyUS TODO looked like a virus. Thus, I deleted it as soon as installed and did not try to use it. The only software that worked in my case was Macrium Reflect 7.1 free. Also, I watched a youtube video made by GadgetClass channel published on Dec 31, 2014, which walked me through all the steps. Cloning the disk took 4.5 hours in my case. After SSD was installed in the laptop the system boot up in 7 seconds and SanDisk SSD Dashboard software started to recognize SSD. If I would do this process all over again I would buy Samsung EVO 860 that includes a Magician software made by Samsung company and available for download from their website or Crucial SSD that also has a software to clone the HHD.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great update for 2011 MacBookPro Easy drop in replacement for old HDD. Installation only took 10 minutes. With High Sierra OS you must format SSD with APFS for use as a boot volume. Low discount price was also a plus. While the MBP was opened, updated ram to 16 GB. 2011 MBP now runs like newer MBPs.
