Canon CP1300 Overview

Share physical prints of all your latest memories with the portable black SELPHY CP1300 Compact Photo Printer from Canon. Using dye sublimation technology, you can quickly and easily produce vivid and sharp photographs with a resolution of 300 x 300 dpi. Also, the Wi-Fi-enabled CP1300 is quite versatile, as it is able to work with a variety of media, including 2.1 x 2.1" stickers and 4 x 6" postcards. It's fast as well, with the printer able to create a 4 x 6" photo in just 47 seconds, getting your prints ready to share in no time at all.

For ease of use, the CP1300 is equipped with a large 3.2" tilting LCD screen that can be used to check settings, apply effects, and preview images before printing. It also provides access to direct printing from the USB host port and SD card slot. For wireless operation, the printer has multiple options for connectivity, including through a Wi-Fi network, Apple AirPrint, the Canon PRINT mobile app, and wireless PictBridge. There are even new functions, such as Party Shuffle Print, which allows multiple people to connect to the printer at once to create unique collages. Additionally, it has USB 2.0 for a wired connection to a computer and runs on either AC power or on an optional battery pack.

Dye sublimation technology helps produce sharp, long-lasting prints at a 300 x 300 dpi resolution and with a rated lifetime of about 100 years when stored properly.
Print a 4 x 6" postcard in 47 seconds or a 2.1 x 3.4" card in 39 seconds.
Print various sizes, including 2.1 x 2.1" labels, 2.1 x 3.4" cards, 3.5 x 4.7" L size, and 4 x 6" postcards.
Apple AirPrint and Mopria certified mobile printing protocols are supported.
Print over Wi-Fi or the USB connection.
Built-in Wi-Fi connectivity allows for direct connection to devices via the Canon PRINT app or connection to a network.
SD card slot supports SD, SDHC, and SDXC cards as well as miniSD, miniSDHC, microSD, microSDHC, and microSDXC via an optional adapter.
Print features include borderless/bordered printing, brightness correction, color adjustment, cropping, date print, DPOF, ID photo print, index print, image optimize (brightness correction, scene detection), layout print (photo booth 2 x 6" size, fixed size, 1-up, 2-up, 4-up, 8-up, 2-up fixed size, party shuffle, shuffle, Mopria device printing, My Colors, PictBridge/Wireless PictBridge, portrait image optimize, reprinting, smooth skin, red-eye correction, and wireless printing.
3.2" tilting LCD provides clear method for checking settings and previewing images.
Runs on either AC power or an optional battery pack.

This printer is nice looking and easy to use. I'm able to print my babys pictures from my phone in minutes (from downloading an app to connecting it to my printer). Now I can take more pictures of my baby and print it same day. I love this little printer. I also love the fast shipping I got my printer within 2 days of purchasing it. Thank you B&H

No driver for Windows 11

Prints fine with an SD card, however, it will not be recognised by the computer either online or connected directly with USB if one is using Windows 11. Canon has not released a driver for Windows 11 and the current driver for Windows 10 did not work on Windows 11 22H2 for me. Disappointing.

I'm always having trouble with the ink on the larger printers and wanted this small printer to print portraits of the grandchildren and this one is perfect in size and performance. It is a great addition.

These Selphy printers are highly underrated. Just upgraded from the old CP800 and this was a great upgrade. Wireless printing directly from your phone or via your home network was seamless. The photos are beautiful with deep blacks and nice colors. The photos also print pretty fast, definitely faster than the older Selphys. By the way the battery, paper tray and power adapter all seem to be interchangeable from the old CP800 and even though my ink cartridge sat in the printer for years, the photos print with zero issues. If only the big printers worked this well. As a little treat, try printing a bookmark with the background set to black or try printing a contact sheet directly from your SD card with the file names displayed to help you or your client choose your favorite shots. This thing is a joy to use!

What's the difference between the 1200 and the new 1300?

Differences between the CP1300 and CP1200. Bigger 3.2 inch screen vs a 2.7 inch on the CP1200. Improved red eye correction and other digital touch ups. Shuffle print, which allows multiple mobile devices to connect to the printer at the same time, making it easy for families to use it. Photo booth style photo printing 2 x 6 strip. Improved user interface and settings.

The Canon KP108-IN ink & paper kit doesn't list the cp1300 as compatible, only the cp1200. Is this just an old listing? Is the 108 kit what I need with this printer?

The KP108-IN is fully compatible with the CP1300. The CP1300 uses the same media as the CP1200.

No, the Canon SELPHY CP1300 Compact Photo Printer (Black) would only use the ribbon and paper sets designed for it. The SELPHY paper is especially designed for thermal dye sub printing and contains pores to accept the heat sublimated ribbon and then the ribbon coats or laminates the paper. You risk jamming the printer by not using SELPHY paper, even Canon photo paper does NOT handle the heat generated by the printer well.

Yes! just download the driver from Canons website & install he same way you install any other printer. You'll need to connect a USB Type-A to Type-B mini cable something like B&H # PECUAMUMBM6.

I have older paper cassettes from my Selphy 910 (specifically the card size). Will this work in the 1300, or does Canon force you to buy all new cassette paper holders again? I use this for work as a Polaroid printer.
