Borrowing design elements from the famed SX-70, but modified for use with 600-type instant film, this SLR 680 is an advanced instant film camera that has been carefully refurbished Polaroid Originals. Distinguished by its folding SLR design, this camera sports a compact form factor that is equally functional due to the ability to compose and focus through the lens. Manual focus control is supported down to 11.8" and Sonar-type autofocus is also available. The camera also features a built-in automatic flash with manual override control, an exposure compensation 'lighten/darken' wheel, and a tripod mount on the base for making steady long exposures.
Each pack of instant film contains a built-in, single use battery to power both the camera and flash. This system allows for smart energy use and quick recharge times, and the flash will automatically recharge when you load film into the camera, press the shutter halfway down, take a picture, or open the camera. This refurbished model is fitted with a new Film Shield from Polaroid Originals, which ensures consistent and accurate developing after each shot by shielding the film from light when it is expelled from the camera.
