Lowepro BP150 overview

  • 1Description

This gray m-Trekker BP150 Backpack from Lowepro is a camera bag that can comfortably hold a small DSLR along with two to four lenses, while users of mirrorless camera systems can fit up to three lenses along with a camera, plus a flash and back-up camera.

This m-Trekker BP150 can be carried by its built-in top handle, or worn using its adjustable shoulder straps which are complemented by a padded rear panel that cushions the back and shoulders, helping to ensure comfort. Before the backpack's rear panel, a top-facing zipped pocket can be dedicated for items that need to be accessed quickly and conveniently, such as a pair of sunglasses or music player earphones. Access to this m-Trekker BP150's main compartment is achieved by first placing the rear panel on a flat surface. Its front panel can then be unzipped and flipped open to reveal two memory card pockets over eight adjustable and removable dividers which can be configured according to the specific camera equipment being stored or carried.

Along the inside of the front panel, a dedicated pocket for 13" laptops or tablet computers is located behind two, zippered mesh organizer pockets. When the front panel is closed, the laptop or tablet computer pocket is positioned above the backpack's base to help minimize the effect of any bumps or shocks upon its contents.

Featuring a durable polyester and cotton construction, this m-Trekker BP150 is built to be weather-resistant and includes a seam-sealed cover for use under heavy rain. Along the outside of the front panel is an additional zippered accessory pocket, while two bottom gear straps allow for extra items such as a tripod to be clipped or tied under this backpack. Additional exterior storage capacity is provided by left and right stretchable side pockets that can each hold a water bottle, or any other similarly-sized items to be kept within easy reach.

    Lowepro BP150 reviews

    m-Trekker BP150 Backpack (Gray) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Slim, sleek and actually fits a large DSLR I wanted a slim, unassuming day-trip bag that could hold my 5D MKIV and my two main lenses, a 24-70mm f2.8 and a 100-400mm f4.5-5.6. My main criteria was that it needed to be as small and light as possible and I think this succeeds on both points. I can place my 5D MKIV with the 100-400mm attached in the center column. It fits just barely, but it fits. I then place the 24-70 in the long column and the hood in the short column. There is a nice compartment up top for filters and other things and clips to hold a tripod on the bottom of the bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Small, Lightweight Backpack for Daytrips I've been using Lowepro camera bags and backpacks for a long time and still have my original system. They're well-built and easy to organize for your own collection of equipment. This backpack is no exception. I find it easy to use, full of useful storage compartments, light, compact, and very comfortable to wear. I recently filled it with my DSLR, three large, heavy lens, a flash, spare batteries, and a charger. While the bag was full, it remained organized throughout the day and never became a burden to carry. It's also an ideal size for air travel given the current carry-on restrictions.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great camera backpack! I recently bought a FUJI T-X2 camera and needed an easy way to carry it and some accessories on a trip to the Grand Canyon. I saw this backpack and thought it would work well, so I ordered it. After a week of trekking around the South Rim and many other side trips I'm convinced this backpack was a great choice. It holds all the accessories I needed, cushions the camera very well, and has very easy access via the back zippered flap. The zippered compartment at the top was also really handy for carrying personal items, and lots of other storage areas are provided for a tablet and user manuals or maps, etc.. The fabric material used for the backpack is also very durable and should last a long time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for new Micro 4/3 Systems In an effort to "downsize" the gear that I've have carried through the forest and marshes over the past decades, I made a move towards the newer Micro 4/3 camera systems - in my case the new Lumix G9 and two new lenses, the 12-60mm and 100-400mm Leica/Panasonic glass. I love the system and was interested in finding a backpack to more appropriately fit the new gear. After several weeks of researching and checking at our local camera store, I settled on the Lowepro m-Trekker BP 150. I was absolutely thrilled to find that the camera and lenses were a perfect fit as well as having space for my charger, extra batteries, memory cards, straps and my Apple MacBook Air as well. Everything fits into one nice compact carrying system like one was made for the other. Cannot overemphasise the enthusiasm I have for this pack. Check it out if you are in the market for a new backpack for your micro 4/3 camera gear-Trekker

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bag, even for a full size DSLR I needed a smaller bag to carry by Sony a99 w/ Zeiss 24-70 G lens, the Minolta 80-200 f/2.8 and the vertical grip, plus my Dell XPS-13 and its power cord and accessories. I know this bag was made for the smaller cameras, but it worked perfectly as I just unscrewed the vertical grip and it got its own slot and the rest fit without a hitch. The XPS-13 fit the laptop sleeve well and the power cord and attachments to allow a standard USB and VGA and HDMI and LAN cord to attached through the USB-c port fit as well. Bottom line- GREAT BAG. Will use it a lot vs my full size bags when I don't need to carry everything. Two small nitpicks- its a bit of a pain to move the shoulder straps to get into the main compartment but I can't figure out how else to do it, so a 0.1 on a 1-10 scale of annoyances. The next is IMHO a design boo boo- the water bottle sleeves on the outside are small and not deep. You need a slim metal water bottle to fit this- my normal size (not oversize) water bottle kept falling out so I will get an appropriate size metal water bottle, so it will fit and slip in and out easily. In summary- I'd buy again in a New York second and recommend this bag unconditionally- just keep in mind the water bottle issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything fits! I purchased this to replace an old "free with purchase" canon back pack I got years ago. this is about the same size but much more organized. My canon 7D MKII with 70-200 2.8 canon lens fits perfectly. Also able to get a 16-35, flash and 1.4 extender in main pouch. The small compartment at the top holds my batteries, charger and a few miscellaneous items. Two small water bottles fit on the outside pouches. All in all very happy. I didn't need much more to carry.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice and light I switched from a Canon system to Sony a7r3 with 3 lenses. Much lighter on my back and carries all I need during 3 weeks in Italy. I really like that the pack has to be off to access the main compartment. I’ve had attempts to get into other bags in crowded situations while traveling. Impossible with this one. Only 4 because no bag is perfect. It for my current needs, this one nearly is and the best design I could find for my needs. Typical Lowepro sturdy construction. My last one I bought 10 years ago and looks near new, but too big for my changed needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very comfortable bag It has pads on the rear of the bag for super comfortable back support. The bag itself has a thin profile so you don't feel like you're carrying something bulky. Fits around 3 lens and a full frame mirror-less body with room for some accessories. It has the Lowepro style "rain coat" for all weather protection, though I wish the weather proofing was built into the actual bag material instead. Overall, good looking bag and nice quality.
