The ALC-SH149 Lens Hood from Sony is specifically made for the FE 16-35mm f/2.8 GM lens. The hood has a petal shape design, which is made to block stray and extraneous light from entering the lens and causing lens flare. Also, the lens hood sustains accidental or sudden impact instead of the front element of the lens. Additionally, it can be used as a spare or as a replacement to the original lens hood.

If you lose your lens hood and want to replace it, you are going to pay. This product is exactly what comes with the lens. It is the perfect and ideal piece of cheap but oddly exclusive plastic you need. It might have cost more to make the box it came in but, you have no choice but to pay $60. Enjoy!
