I needed a new backpack and researched a number of them. This on fits the bill. I really like that I can open it and change lens without taking it off and setting on the ground.

Love this bag in this size (36L). Great for video gear & of course photo gear). A friend of mine (photographer) had it on a shoot. I decided to get it for my video workflow. I also use a pelican 1535 in addition to this. But this is great if i strip down and go with a smaller kit in just a backpack. A lot of space, great design, quality build. Has nice compartments and pickets and zipper areas for other smaller gear, clothes, etc. Love that it fits a laptop up front and iPad. Previously had a backpack where the laptop was in the back (against my back) and I honestly think this backpack is better. I can fit lenses, mavic 3 cine + smart controller, extra batteries, chargers, polar pro VND matte box system, plus other video tools. My Komodo fits in here great when not using a pleican. The backpack it self is very comfortable. And is the right size to bring onto an airplane. Highly recommend this bag.

Amazing quality!

Although I haven't gotten to use it much yet, I am very impressed with how durable and resistant it is to the elements. It can also hold quite a ton, if you're an amateur photographer or (and most commonly with a bag of this quality) a professional. It's got space for you're everyday items and lots of space for camera equipment! You can take out the dividers for more space for bigger gear or other stuff like a jacket or food. All in all very nice bag, well worth its price!

Don't scrimp on your bag.

We spend a fortune on our gear then we nickle and dime when we shop for bags or tripod heads. Nope, spend a little extra and get the best to ensure your gear is secure. This bag is extremely well made, the hardware is of a great quality, especially the main zipper. I'm confidently carrying my 1DX Mark II and several prime lenses without concern for their safety and the bag has a nice balance. It is a little heavy, but it's worth it knowing my gear is very well protected. I'm extremely pleased.

Can the 26L fit the Canon R5, EF70-200 f2.8, EF24-70 f2.8, EF16-35 f4, RF50mm f1.2 and RF100-500 lens with flash, batteries and some accessories?

If we are talking about the in compartments that’s a pretty big maybe. I have the 36L and I carry the EOS R with battery grip a sigma 85 mm 1.4, EF 50mm 1.8, EF 17-40, 2 NEO 2s, flash trigger and Bluetooth job flip. If you were to swap out my 2 NEOs for the 70-200 that could work and a speed light should fit where the JBL is. The only thing is that since you’re talking about a smaller bag it just might be a bit of a tight fit. And that 100-500 no way. I can’t even fit me sigma 100-400 in the bigger bag that I have with all the gear in it currently. Depending on the accessories and how small they are you could place them in the back compartment opening door. Which has two zippered pockets. Plus you also have two very deep pockets in the front of the bag. I will also say this. Most of the time when I go out on a shoot or I go on a trip I don’t use nor need all of my gear. Sometimes I go on a shoot only use one lens. Or I go on a trip and it’s the same thing. For me if I had all those lenses you have would I want to bring them all sure but I would never need to. If it’s the same with you, you might just save some money. Hopefully this helps to making a better purchase.

Can this bag hold an Ice Light 2? The interior length of the bag is listed as 21 and the Ice Light 2 has a length of 21.6. In theory it could go in at an angle, or there might be enough give that it fits anyway? I'm curious if anybody's tried putting an Ice Light in the bag to know for sure.
Asked by: Brian
Hi Brian, Storing an Ice Light 2 in the BackLight 36L is going to be tight, but doable as long as you store the Ice Light in the center of the of the bag. There is a small chance that you will have to adjust the top most divider in the bags main compartment in order for the Ice Light to fit properly.

The MindShift Gear BackLight 36L is 22.44 inches long and based on your height I believe it would be too large for your back. The 26L is 20,28 inches long so it might fit a little better.

Anyone can review the internal velcros after months of use ? Are all the separators still holding strong ?
Asked by: Keven
Mine are fine after a year. I have not switched them around to change the configuration after it was first set up. The dividers are thinner than those you will see in other backpacks and i suspect they will not too well if you pack the bag tight or move them around frequently
