The black RCF EVOX JMIX8 is an active 12" 2-way 1400W portable line array PA system with an 8-input mixer designed to deliver powerful sound projection and flexible multi-source mixing for musicians, presenters, and audio engineers in clubs, parties, and live stage applications. Class-D amplification pumps 1400W peak (700W RMS) through a 12" high-excursion woofer and eight 2" full-range drivers, resulting in a frequency response of 40 Hz to 20 kHz. The system design produces a 120° horizontal by 30° vertical coverage pattern.
Four XLR-1/4" combo inputs, stereo 1/4" inputs, stereo RCA jacks, and a built-in Bluetooth receiver feed the digital mixer. The subwoofer and satellite components interconnect via speakON and balanced XLR jacks are present for stereo linking with another speaker. Integrated DSP processing with FiRPHASE technology grants adjustable compression, EQ, guitar amp and cabinet simulation, reverb, delay, and more. Access all mixer functions from the panel controls or via the RCF EVOX iOS or Android app. The polypropylene composite cabinet minimizes weight and can be easily transported via the built-in carry handle. The adjustable pole mount offers simple height positioning of the satellite unit, which conveniently stores in the subwoofer enclosure. RCF speakers are designed by using FiRPHASE, a proprietary and advanced FIR filtering technology, conceived for delivering transparent sound, clarity, and ideal stereo images to the listener. The FiRPHASE algorithm optimizes dynamics, amplitude, and phase patterns while maintaining minimum system latency.
Complementary Components
The ultra-compact, full-range 2" RCF drivers are capable of handling high SPL and power with reliable sound performance. The high-excursion 12" RCF woofer extends to 40 Hz while offering quick and precise punch. The bass-reflex port design avoids air turbulence and reduces distortions. The EVOX design features constant directivity coverage of 120° horizontal by 30° vertical, providing an optimal coverage pattern. The vertical array is progressively shaped to guarantee consistent sound coverage from the first row to the last.
Class-D Amplification
RCF's Class-D power amplifier technology packs performance gain with high efficiency into a lightweight solution. EVOX amplifier delivers ultra-fast attack, realistic transient response, and impressive audio performance. The amplifier features a solid mechanical aluminium structure, which not only stabilizes the amplifier during transportation, but also aids in heat dissipation. The EVOX amplifier utilizes a switch-mode power supply section in order to produce maximum output and minimum transportation weight.
Mic/Line Switch
A useful Mic/Line switch offers simple input sensitivity selection. When used for speech, the Mic setting allows to use a microphone directly with the speaker. Set the selector to Line when using the speaker for live music or playback.
Integrated Digital Mixer
All the available functions on the EVOX JMIX8 system integrated mixer can be managed from the operating panel. The select buttons: INPUT, OUTPUT, HOME, SYSTEM, MFX, and FX give access to all the parameter pages on the LCD display.
Dynamic Compressor
Combo inputs are provided with a single-control compressor. The control slider acts on the amount of compressor intervention. A dedicated button toggles the compressor on and off. Up to six different presets can be selected from the Compressor Model list: Light, Heavy, Vocal, Bass, Acoustic, and Drum.
Main Channel
A 7-band graphic EQ on the Main Channel lets you shape the frequency response of the system. In order to have a powerful overall sound, limited peaks, and increased harmonics, four mastering processing presets can be selected: Mastering, Master Boost, Loud & Proud, and Hi-Fi.
Guitar Amp and Cabinet Simulations
The fourth line input can be switched to a Hi-Z mode and host several realistic amp modeling simulators. Guitar and bass players can count on a whole range of fifteen realistic emulations tuned for the maximum reality: Darkface '65, Jazz C, Rock '64, Rock 800 Crunch, Rock 900 Lead, Top30, Modern, Bassamp, Bassmate, Markbass 1, Markbass 2, Slo 88 Crunch, Slo 88 Lead, Overange 120, Heavy 51, and others. Shape the sound of each amp via four different parameters, store it in the preset memory, and recall via the EVOX App, panel, or footswitch (available separately).
Plentiful Effects
The JMIX8 features eighty effects presets from the premium RCF Z.CORE.DSP, each with three parameter controls. Choose from forty reverbs, twenty delay types, and twenty modulation effects to shape any nuance of your music.
App Control
The RCF EVOX app (available for iOS and Android) ensures comprehensive control of J Series mixers on your smartphone via Bluetooth. With intuitive graphics created by audio professionals, the app allows you to navigate between pages and fully control the mixer's parameters even while playing.
