The Fruity Chutes Parachute with Failsafe, in an orange and black combo, is designed to gently land your drone in case it experiences rotor, motor, or power failure. The automatic trigger system (ATS) failsafe automatically detects failure and quickly ejects the parachute. The ATS features an independent power source, so it'll work on its own in case of drone power failure.
Automatic Trigger System (ATS)
The automatic trigger system (ATS) can detect if the drone suddenly falls, rolls, flips, or experiences loss of a rotor or motor. Detection of a fall typically takes just 0.75 seconds, or about 16' of free fall. The system is designed to eject the parachute by the time the pilot notices a problem.
Skycat Parachute Launcher
To launch the parachute, the included Skycat launcher has a high-energy torsion spring that ejects the parachute down and away from the Inspire 2 quickly. The launcher has no regulatory or transportation limitations so you have more flexibility as to where you can take it. The launcher clips into one of the landing gear frames. It can be installed and removed without tools.
Descent Rate
The parachute has a nominal drone weight rating of 7 lb at 15' per second (4.6 mps) descent rate after deployment, ensuring a gentle landing. The max supported weight is 11 lb, allowing you to use heavier cameras or batteries.
Iris Ultra Light 48" Parachute
The parachute features 8 shroud lines, each rated at a 200 lb break strength. The overall break strength of the parachute is about 1000 lb of pull force, suitable for virtually all situations.
