This switcher is perfect for our church live stream setup! We are currently running 3 cameras and a propresenter feed to it and I love that we still have room to add more cameras in the future! Also, with this switcher we are now able to run all of our cameras at 4K. Super pleased with this product.

Love all of it's capabilities and we are starting to use more of them all the time. Works great with our BlackMagioc Studio Camera's. We are a church and the quality is certainly there.

We bought this to replace an older failed ATEM switcher. The additional control of the built-in panel is great and having Fairlight Audio on every input is a huge bonus. The amazing thing about this is input scaling on every input. I was skeptical because of my poor experience with how picky Blackmagic switchers are with input resolution and frame rate. I can feed this thing any resolution, any frame rate and it scales and works just fine. No problems yet.

Bought for our church to do muticamera and media. Very impressed how everything worked right away when plugging inputs in. Runs best if you have a laptop networked into it running software for settings etc. Having a preview bus now is great.

Intercom system is not ideal

By Jake

Two major points about the intercom system. First is that the Mic jack is not a 1/4 like you might think. It is an aviation plug (MIL-P-642/5A) so you might run into issues here. Second is talking to the cameras. Inputs 5-8 have direct buttons, but inputs 1-4 do not. To talk directly to 1-4 you have to hold Shift and the corresponding number which can't be done single handed. Maybe they will correct this in a firmware update, but as of today this is quite cumbersome. Now some people will just set the intercom as a party line (activate direct 5-8) and that will work just fine for them, but this may not be preferred by all. The guys at Blackmagic should really test their products with actual end users to avoid the oddities and oversights.

Can you use an animated stinger transition on the switcher?
Asked by: Justin
Yes. I have mine set up with different clips for the different use of the transition. For instance in and out of Replay. I have a macro set up to wipe into the Replay with the preset automatically selecting my Replay channel. I then have a macro set up to wipe out of the replay with a different video transition. I have this macro set up so that I can select the preset I would like to wipe to. Works really well
