Yes, the ear is designed to work with both a 4-1/2" and 2-1/2" grip head. Good to go.

what is the difference between using one of these and a Westcott Scrim Jim cine clamp with 5/8" stud? For a 6x6, either one better than the other?
Both will do the job the Matthews is a better build product from what we see.

hello. I was wondering. does this attach to the knuckle of the c-stand?
CS grip-heads are not meant for overhead butterfly frames. You will need a 4-1/2 grip-head (lollipop) on a loaded wide base. The Matthews Reverse Ear was designed with more surface area in order to secure a heavier frame, especially in wind.
