Thinkware F70 Overview

Mount the F70 1080p Dash Cam from Thinkware on your vehicle's windshield to record video of the road ahead. The F70 uses a 1/2.7" CMOS sensor to capture 1920 x 1080 resolution video at up to 30 fps. A 140° diagonal field of view ensures coverage over a large area. Recording modes include continuous, incident, manual, and parking (parking mode recording requires a hardwiring cable installation, available separately). Audio is possible thanks to a built-in microphone and speaker. A built-in G-sensor offers 5 levels of sensitivity adjustment.

This dash cam is equipped with a supercapacitor that delivers backup power to offer fail-safe recording in the event of power disconnection. An integrated thermal sensor protects the dash cam and its data by automatically shutting off to prevent overheating. PC Viewer software is compatible with Windows & Mac computers so you can view your recorded videos, change your dash cam settings, and install updates. An onboard slot supports microSD cards up to 64GB. An 8GB microSD card is included.

Great dash cam for the money. Only wish it had wifi so you could view the recording if needed in emergency such as a wreck. Still a great dash cam

Positive comments: I love the size and the quality of the video. It came with ample length of power cord. I like the idea of the vendor including a memory card. I also think this camera is a great value. Minor suggestions listed below. The instructions do not include information on how to set the date and time. The camera doesn't have a video screen to show any of the files recorded. Maybe it could be accessed by a phone app to review a file, at an accident scene or show to a policeman. I would like to have a switch, on the power cord, to turn of the power quickly and easily right on the cigarette plug. This would be in sted of pulling the plug out of the Cig port. I would also like to have more than a one minute loop on the files. Maybe a 3-5 minute loop option.

Great video quality for the price. But i had my camera for 2 months and now it won't record :/ mid- ride it'll say "recording will now start " and when i turn on my car it wont say right away that it'll start recording. When i press the red button to capture video as it's supposed to, it doesnt. I checked the cables to make sure they're plugged in correctly and they are. And i have no idea if i can even reset the camera. How Disappointing

The F70 came before the promised date. I had separately bought a 64 GB mini card instead of the 8 GB as I wanted 8 hours of recording. I installed the camera the next day using the OBD ll cable that I had also bought. I wanted a completely hidden installation. Their support department has been great.

Great camera, it is small in size. It can detect when you might be in an accident which is nice. Discreet and hides behind rearview mirror. Would definitely recommend. Only downside is it is next to impossible to take the mount off your window to transfer to a new car, but overall great purchase.

Installed one in my daughters car and due to the way it writes the video files, there was a gap between video files and an accident that my daughter was in - the end of one file shows everything fine, then the start of the next file shows the resting place after the accident and no footage of the occurrence. False security.

Hard wiring is not as hard as it may seem. Hiding the wires was a little harder.
