The Lens Cap TL-2 for THETA Z1 from Ricoh is a compact lens cap that does double duty as a tabletop camera stand.
Attach the TL-2 cap to the bottom of your camera to support your THETA Z1 for shooting on a flat surface. A soft interior protects the camera lens against scratches or other damage when adding or removing the cap.

The camera does come with a soft case. However it is still better protection to have an actual lens cap, and it's easier to put on and take off.
They claim it was meticulously designed for the Z1, but honestly, it's so tight, I cannot imagine how it wouldn't damage the lenses if there's even the slightest bit of anything hard in the case lining. I refuse to use it.
