If you have an Atomos Ninja V and you work with BNC connector cables, you have to have this unit. Be aware, with a battery on it, it does extend out from the monitor/recorded a pretty good distance but it works great.

Essential adapter

This SDI adapter is an essential addition for the Ninja V in the live event world where SDI is our main cable type for long runs. This adapter allows for much more functionality for the Ninja V unit. I'm glad AtomOS makes them.

Allows me to use my Ninja V with my C300 mark ii

This is a bit awkward to use on the Ninja V, especially when I stack it with the Xsync timecode module and a battery - but, it allows me to use my Ninja V with my C300 mark ii. I've used this SDI module in a variety of locations - interior, exterior, documentary-style. I've never had any issues, and the Ninja V recognizes the SDI input without a hassle. I've not tested the cross conversion ability, which I know is a bit of a controversy - but I don't have a need for such conversion at the moment.

Love this thing. Works great.

Should have been built into the monitor.

WAY TO BIG! Don't understand why Atomos could not find any place to put 2 sdi ports and a power connector on the monitor? Idiotic. AND THEN!!! You get the privilege of paying 99.00 to use the SDI ports for RAW. Got to call BS on them.

The package arrived opened, and the module shows sign of use

It was sold as new, meant as a gift. NOT COOL!
