Olympus PT-059 Reviews

Excellent Housing,Great Value

This is the second Olympus housing that I have owned and used. The previous housing was sold along with the TG- 5 camera. I now have a TG-6 and this housing setup. The Olympus housings are specifically made for the referenced camera and as such work flawlessly. I use this combo regularly when working with Underwater Photographic students and it has held up to the rigors of regular use in both cold and warm water environments. For the money this is a great value that you will not be disappointed with!

This underwater case increases the depth rating for the TG-^ camera to 140'. Controls are marked, can be difficult to read while underwater, but they are in the same location as the camera's controls. If you use the TG-6 as a land camera, then operating it underwater is a snap.

“Not helpful. I always use underwater settings and I do adjust afterwards and the pictures are always WAY too blue. Big strobe isn’t helpful either. I’m carrying way too much gear treating corals. Do they make a red filter that fits on the housing?”
Asked by: Susan
While we no longer have any 52mm red underwater filters that would work directly with the filter threads on the front of the Olympus PT-059 Underwater Housing, if you purchase the Olympus PSUR-03 52-67mm Step-Up Ring, B&H # OLPSUR03, you may also use the AquaTech 67mm Red Underwater Color-Correction Filter for AxisGO Water Housing, B&H # AQ19009, which will work for your usage needs.
