I am installing a home theter/ projector in our basement. Would this be a good choice in lieu of long HDMI cable for movies?
Asked by: Poppele
This is a possible solution for you, An easier installation and probably cheaper. Bear in mind that each unit will need power supply and is limited to 1080, but a cable solution will be ready for 4K, if you get the right one. My experience with the IOGEAR is that there may be compatibility issues with some TVs. One of my monitors is quite happy with the 1080i or 1080p signal, but another one will only work if the source is set to 720p output. IOGEAR were responsive to my query on this and are looking into it for me.

Does the HDMI inputs power the unit or it has to be connected with the micro USB power input?
Asked by: Mu Chian
IOGEAR Says : Thanks you for choosing IOGEAR. Most newer devices supplies enough power of the HDMI connection , these will power the Transmitter however in the event you device does not have enough power you will need the Micro USB connection. Once again thank you for choosing IOGEAR .
