10-Bit Color Depth for Smoother Gradations
The SW270C provides smooth color gradations with its 10-bit panel from a 16-bit look up table (LUT) by gamma correction, which shows more than one billion colors for natural color transitions and subtle shading.

BenQ SW270C Reviews

Just buy it!

WOW! Professional full-time photographer for over 35 years and this is the most important piece of my workflow I have ever purchased. I only wish I had purchased this monitor the day it hit the market. The most accurate color I have ever seen on a monitor. Monitor arrived perfectly professionally calibrated at the factory. Color correcting in Lightroom is faster, easier and more accurate. Period. Just buy it!

Feels like quality, I did a fair amount of research and thought this was the best fit for my MacMini M2 pro. Only issue is screen will occasionally flicker or turn off then back on within about a second. Not a deal breaker as long as it does not get worse. Color brightness is good for me.

A truly great Monitor

This is a truly great Monitor. I have printed digital prints for photographers for about 15 years. I had 2 Eizo monitors for the past 12 years, and this is the first Monitor that is as good as they were. The packaging was among the best I have seen. It was in great condition even though FedEx shipped it to the wrong location twice. Set-up took some time, and the calibration with my existing Calibrite tools went great. I like their Hood which is included, (I use hoods on all of my Monitors.) There are still a couple of features to learn, but I am verry happy to have this BenQ monitor, It works well, the color is great, and I expect to purchase another one the next time I need one. I Love It.

The SW series does not have flicker free or blue light tech

I was about to purchase this monitor and was going over the specs. I suddenly noticed there was no mention of Eye Care or Flicker. After contacting Benq I learned that they have made this monitor to be extremely color accurate and according to them, therefore did not include anti-flicker or blue light technology. I'm posting this because I suspect that others, like myself, pretty much assume Benq is especially eye friendly.

Best Screen Ever

As a Professional Photographer,I enjoy finding a product that actually cuts time down and increases productivity . I have been using other high end screens by brand but this is the best and most color accurate I have ever owned. The options offered for the screen are built in and dead on Accurate. It has already saved paper and printer inks each time I use it! I recommend this product if you care about Quality! It is impressive from the moment you open the box, it's construction is Metal, Impressively , Tooled, and once assembled You will be happily surprised about its performance as an addition to your Studio's Reputation for Quality and Turn Around time.

Don't buy this monitor!

I hate this monitor. It worked great for a month or so and now it never connects to my computer. Constantly tells me it has no incoming signal. I spend way too much time reorganizing my cables, trying new cables, etc to see if I can get a combination to match. I also haven't had any luck with their customer service. Two strikes and you're out!!! AVOID THIS AT ALL COSTS...

This monitor supposedly replaces the SW2700PT. That monitor was able to display 10 bit color over its HDMI input. This one does not, according to the Overview description. So, is there another alternative monitor with specs similar to the SW2700PT that does display 10-bit color using HDMI?
Asked by: David
I did not find a similar monitor with 10 bit color support over HDMI and similar specs to the BenQ SW270C Photographer 27" 16:9 HDR IPS Monitor BH #BESW270C. I would keep in mind that your video card would also need to support that which is not always the case with older hardware limited to older HDMI versions.

Hi Lisa, Sorry for the late reply. May I know which year version Macbook Pro you have? For the latest one with USB-C, it can connect to SW270C via USB-C cable. SW270C also supports HDMI & Display Port. Thanks.

BH says in the overview that "... 10-bit color is only supported using USB Type-C and DisplayPort." Why can I not also get 10-bit via the SW270c HDMI2.0 inputs?
Asked by: peter
This is an important discrepancy so.... Either the BH tests were innacurate (or are no longer correct given some update...) or BENQ is wrong. FYI, they likewise insisted to me - today - that "10-bit color is supported while using HDMI 2.0 cable." And they sent me this link where the specs affirm same, https://esupportdownload.benq.com/esupport/LCD%20MONITOR/UserManual/SW270C/SW270C_RF_EN_200520142045.pdf

I'm seriously considering this monitor for photo editing. Will my graphics card (GeForce GTX 1660Ti) support the resolution of this monitor?
Asked by: Ronald
I think it should. This is a 2K resolution monitor so most of the modern graphics card should be able to drive it with little difficulty. I had a GeForce GT 750M GPU in a Macbook pro running fine with 4GB of graphics memory.
