Enjoy 2.1-channel audio and wireless connectivity with your favorite speaker system and the Denon DRA-800H 2.1-Channel Network A/V Receiver. It has Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Apple AirPlay 2 built-in for wirelessly connecting with your compatible smart devices. Additionally, the onboard network connectivity allows the receiver to be voice-controlled through your Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, Siri, or Josh.ai ecosystem, or via the HEOS app.

The DRA-800H outputs up to 100W per channel at 8 Ohms and features five HDMI inputs and one output, all of which support 4K, HDR, and 4:4:4 color; the output also supports ARC. A USB port on the front provides direct device connectivity and audio playback.

2-Channel Discrete Amplifier

Featuring a discrete high-current power amplifier, symmetrical design, and an OFC (oxygen-free copper) winding power transformer, the DRA-800H is designed to deliver up to 100 watts per channel at 8 ohms. For compatibility with a variety of speakers, the receiver is equipped with low-impedance drive capability. An optional auto ECO mode helps reduce power consumption without sacrificing audio quality.

High-Resolution Audio

The receiver features an AKM 32-bit D/A converter that can decode up to 24-bit / 192 kHz ALAC, FLAC, and WAV lossless files, as well as DSD 2.8 MHz and 5.6 MHz tracks via the front USB port and network sources. You can also listen to other popular formats, like MP3 and WMA.

Speaker A/B and Zone 2 Pre-Out

You can connect two pairs of speakers for A/B switching. You can also extend your system to a second room and listen to a different source via the Zone 2 pre-out.

Phono Input

The onboard phono input lets you connect your turntable directly to the receiver.

Dual DAC Circuitry

The DRA-800H uses an eight-channel DAC to deliver enhanced stereo imaging and detail. By assigning two DACs per channel, including the subwoofer output, the receiver's dynamic range and signal-to-noise ratio are augmented.

HDMI with HDCP 2.3 Compatibility

All five HDMI inputs support 4:4:4 Pure Color sub-sampling, BT.2020 pass-through, HDR10, and HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma); full 4K Ultra HD with 60 Hz pass-through, 3D, and HDCP 2.3 compatibility is available on all five HDMI ports to support copy-protected content. Additionally, the HDMI output supports ARC, so audio that originates in apps built into your display are passed through to the receiver through the connected compatible HDMI cable.

Built-In Bluetooth & Wi-Fi

With built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, the DRA-800H is equipped with a dual-antenna transceiver system for robust streaming, even in congested urban environments, allowing you to enjoy listening to your favorite audio content wirelessly from your compatible smart devices.

Mobile Control with the Denon AVR Remote App

The Denon AVR Remote app for iOS and Android allows you to adjust the receiver's volume, turn it on or off, mute the music, and select a source.

Smart TV Connectivity

Control the receiver with your compatible smart TV remote via the HDMI CEC functionality associated with your smart TV. Simply set "HDMI Control" to "On" in the receiver, then set "Smart Menu" to "On" and begin controlling the receiver with your TV remote. The Smart Menu home screen provides you quick access to source and surround mode selections, the receiver's setup menu, and four Quick Selects.

Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM)

ALLM helps ensure that Xbox One users have a responsive and immersive gaming experience when connected with compatible TVs.

Quick Select Functions for Simplified Audio Tuning

The front panel features four Quick Select buttons that store your preferred audio settings for each source. Switch between TV audio, Blu-ray, media players, and more – and the receiver adjusts the EQ settings to your preferences for that media source. Use the buttons on the front panel or opt for the same Quick Selects on the remote for faster control.

Works with Various Voice Assistants

Control the receiver hands-free with your Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, Apple Siri, or Josh.ai ecosystem. Adjust the volume, skip to the next track, switch inputs between your different connected media players, and more. Availability varies by region and country.

HEOS Music Streaming

Enjoy your favorite music in any room of your home wirelessly with built-in HEOS technology. Play the same song in every room or select a different song for each connected room. Stream music stored on your home network by connecting to your HEOS wireless speakers or other HEOS-enabled receivers. Play music from Spotify, TuneIn, Pandora, Amazon Prime Music, iHeartRadio, SiriusXM, SoundCloud, TIDAL, Napster, Deezer, and local music.

Ready for Custom Installations

The DRA-800H features external control and IP control capabilities for easy customization and compatibility with third-party integration solutions, including Control4 SDDP (Simple Device Discovery Protocol). An IR remote control jack is on the rear panel for wired remote compatibility with other components in your system. Remote monitoring is also supported for troubleshooting.

Had all the bells and whistles that I needed and works great with just a left or right speaker and a subwoofer.

Just right affordable receiver

I didn't need a AV receiver. No TV in the living room but it's where I want to listen to music. This fit the bill. More adjustable than I realized and enough power to cleanly fill the room with my pair of speakers. I have a Powered Sub for a nice full sound.

Great sound

I use it mostly to play CDS and for streaming music via Bluetooth from my phone. The sound is great. It has enough power to drive my two sets of high end speakers simultaneously. Easy to connect and set up, but the quick start guide is inadequate. Had to download the pdf manual from the Denon website.

Great sound and convenience

It is what you should expect from a Denon. The quality for the price is 10/10. Don't expect the results of the 4K receiver because it is not. On the other hand drives great my 2 bookshelf B&W. This is an amp that you should pair it with same value speakers. Not less but not higher either, and it will performs perfect.

A so-so receiver with a lot of bells & whistles

This unit is driving 2 Klipsh RF 82II floor speakers and is connected to a Sony XBR 65X950H with a HDMI cable capable to carry the eARC both units are set up for. All he bells and whistles seem to work flawlessly, although there is a slight (about 2-3 seconds) pause while the receiver cuts in. What does surprise me, is the units power. I retired a 12 year Denon rated at 75 watts power and connected by Toslink to the Tv. This unit drove the speakers at 30 to 50% power while the new unit is at 50 to 66% power to achieve the same volume despite being rated at 100 watts. I also notice that background sounds I heard with the old unit are missing on the new one. I should mention that all other units except the CD player are connected to the TV. CDs sound great and are set at a much lower power. I expected the eARC connection to improve my sound. That has not happened.

Purchased the receiver to run with a pair of B&W floor standing speakers. The sound quality is great and it was super easy to set up. Highly recommended.

Everything I was looking for!

Relatively easy to set up. Sounds really good with all the sources I've tried! I am using smallish bookshelf speakers (Wharfdale Diamond 225 pair) so the bass boost comes in very handy to balance the sound. I'm using a Roku + plugged into one of the inputs and using the ARC to connect my TV. I love the quality, features, and especially the sound!

I suspected, but wasn’t clear that it was refurbished. That said, all functions worked, was easy to set up even though there were no instructions in the box and sounds good with very quiet background. Wanted the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for streaming Tidal and Radio Paradise.

Can a passive subwoofer be used? I see one of the reviewers used an active sub, but I couldn't find anywhere a reference to a powered or passive sub. Thanks.

All current receivers like the Denon DRA-800H are only able to connect to an Active Subwoofer via RCA cable connection. Unfortunately it does not support connectivity to a Passive Subwoofer.
