Westcott FJ400 Reviews
Oh yeah !! magenta all over
I wish bowens came back with its products.. i bought three of these babies and the magenta is so ever present.. extra lever maniulating is necessary to compensate. i mean we all pull the levers.. but affects other undesired tints on my photos. for that gave it a 3 star, one for each of the three lights i bought.
Great affordable option
I've already done a couple shoots with this and works perfectly. The battery seems like it last awhile too. You get use to the decimal system for light stops instead of your usual fractions and soon know where to put your power output.
Love them! Here's a tip for Fuji users though!
These are fantastic lights and they really work well if you have a compatible camera for their designated TTL/remote trigger. My Fuji GFX 100s works with these in HSS if I trigger them with a speedlight set to manual and HSS modes. Just wanted to share that workaround!
Great Wireless Lights
Great lights to use especially being able to use with FJ80 speedlight.
Fulfills my needs. Long battery life. Solid construction. Bright.
This is the perfect light.
Most of my lighting has been Aputure lights, since I do so much video work. The majority of my photography is done with natural light or with a flash. I decided I wanted to up my game and purchased the FJ400. I am more than pleased with it. It has tremendous power, is compact, has a rechargeable battery (which lasts forever), a durable and well-made case and connects easily to my R5. I love it so much that I plan on getting at least two more. If you are looking for a strobe, look no further than the FJ400.
Have used many studio strobe systems, Alien Bees, Indra's and now the Fj400. The Fj400 is by far the easiest system I have ever used. No cords, no carrying battery packs. Being able to change everything from my camera is a great feature and time saver. I also like that when I change my main light the second light changes too so that I don't need to reset every time. Overall an awesome system!
I bought this light because Joel Grimes uses it. I've seen several of his classes using this strobe and it has the features I've wanted. I'm very happy with this purchase.
