Impressively portable, the XCD 45mm f/4 P from Hasselblad is a sleek wide-angle prime distinguished by its compact and lightweight form factor. Designed for X-series medium format mirrorless cameras, this lens offers a familiar 36mm equivalent focal length to benefit working in a wide variety of situations. Two aspherical elements are featured in the optical design, which reduce a variety of aberrations and distortion for improved sharpness and clarity. Its close 1.1' minimum focusing distance also suits working with close-up subjects and a mechanical focusing system lends a more tactile feel when manually focusing. Autofocus is quick and quiet, too, and this lens also incorporates a revised Central Lens Shutter for notably quiet performance along with support for shutter speeds up to 1/2000 sec with flash sync at all speeds.

Hasselblad XCD 45mm f/4 P Reviews
A compact medium format lens
I have only recently moved into the Hasselblad medium format world - having bought the X1Dii camera and this lens. I bought this lens because it is a good all purpose focal length and at $1100 it was the cheapest available for the Hasselblad X system. The reviews online speak to the amazing optical qualities of the lens, and I have not been disappointed - the images are beautiful, sharp and with superb color rendition even when wide open. Obviously the Hasselblad system is expensive, but the equipment is superbly made and produces images that are simply outstanding. I'm already saving up for my next lens which will be the 21mm f 4 - just ideal for my architectural work!
Very Compact with Excellent Sharpness
This is a perfect lens to use with the 907X when you just want to go for a walk and take some pictures. It's light, but extremely well built.
Must-Have X System Lens
Great weight, balance, portability and sharpness this make this a fantastic performer, and when you take into account the price, there really is very little reason NOT to add this to your kit. I had lowered my expectations because of price, but I was wrong. It is a lens befitting the X system. Highly recommended.
Seriously, a Hasselblad lens needs a review?
If you own an X-series Hasselblad, this is one of two lenses that should be part of your basic kit. (There is no point in disclosing its optical qualities as Hasselblad does not make anything short of the best of the best.) If you are curious about lens #2, that would be the 65mm/f2.8.
Very lightweight and fun to use lens
This lens is very lightweight and the shutter responds very quickly - it's very fun to use, especially if the focal length is what you are looking for.
Excellent lens at a low price
Excellent combination because it is a small lens, sharp focus is not the fastest in the world but it does its job.
amazing little lens
The Hasselblad X1D II is my slow things down and truly enjoy photography camera. For everything else I use Leica SL2 cameras/lenses. Before purchasing the XCD 45mm f/4 P Lens, I had some worries: is this an entry-level, compromised lens? will it limit the crazy resolution of the X1D II? How will it compare to the much more expensive and amazing XCD 65 that I am using? After several sessions (street, urban, landscape) and several hundred photos, I came to the following conclusions: - this lens has amazing resolution, including the corners (real-life, not pixel peeping) - great contrast - light and small - very silent - great manual focus (with magnification), absolutely no need for AF. - amazing files - beautiful lens - crazy price for value proposition, almost too good to be true. I kept looking for a catch but couldn't find one. Of course there is vignetting and pincushion with the RAW files, but who cares? it takes Lightroom 1 second to completely fix them... Done. Wow! What an amazing lens! Pure joy.
Works super good
I'm using this lens on an X1D, and the lens hit focus every time.
