Very good control, worked even remotely up to 20'. Just remember this remote cannot work in conjunction with the SONY remote commander as the camera can take only one Bluetooth connection at a time however both can work on just the picture button but one will take precedence over the other

I love this!

The Sony Vlogger kit is easy to use and connect to your camera. I didn't get the card that supposed to come with the kit.

I have experienced reliability issues with the connection to VZ1. I recently have traced this to a battery seating problem where the battery door does press on the coin battery adequately.

I had used this recently for a roadtrip throughout the southwestern United States, and it was super handy for capturing while on the road, hiking, and for every stop along the way. Highly recommend as a counterpart for any of Sony's point and shoot cameras

Yes, the Sony GP-VPT2BT Wireless Shooting Grip will work with the Sony a7 IV Mirrorless Camera. Sony does warn that depending on the lens variation or the camera position, it may become unstable when using it as a tripod.

What, if anything, does the zoom control do when used with the a7c?
Asked by: James
You would need a lens with built-in Power Zoom capabilities in order to use the zoom feature on the Sony GP-VPT2BT Wireless Shooting Grip with the Sony Alpha α7C Mirrorless Digital Camera. Otherwise, when using a lens that requires you to manually zoom the lens, the zoom control would have no effect. The only E-mount lenses with built-in Power Zoom capability would be the Sony E PZ 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS Lens, B&H # SO165035, the Sony E PZ 18-105mm f/4 G OSS Lens, B&H # SO181054, or the Sony E PZ 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 OSS Lens, B&H # SO18200PZ, all which are designed for the smaller APS-C sensor, and would not fully cover a full-frame sensor. As such, you would have to use the APS-C Crop Mode feature in the camera when using the above lenses. The only Power Zoom lens for the full-frame sensor would be the Sony FE PZ 28-135mm f/4 G OSS Lens, B&H # SO281354, which is a cinema lens.

If you have a power zoom lens the zoom buttons will allow you to zoom in and out. We do not have a 24-105 power zoom lens at the moment.

If I don’t use my camera, say for about a month or so, will it lose the Bluetooth connection? Then having to reconnect it again?
Asked by: Anthony
They should keep the connection registered in the camera so you shouldn't have to reconnect it, however if you need to it is a very easy process.
