Covering a useful and familiar range with a svelte form factor, the Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-45mm f/4 PRO is a 24-90mm-equivalent zoom for Micro Four Thirds mirrorless cameras. Distinguished by its f/4 constant maximum aperture, this lens strikes a balance between a bright design and a highly compact design to suit its use in everyday situations. Myriad specialized elements are incorporated into the optical design, which help to suppress spherical aberrations, color fringing, and distortion in order to produce sharp, color-accurate imagery. A ZERO coating is also featured, which controls flare and ghosting for improved contrast when working in bright and backlit conditions. Complementing the optics is a Movie & Still Compatible autofocus system, which achieves fast, smooth, and silent focusing performance, and a maximum 0.25x magnification throughout the zoom range to suit working with close-up subjects. Additionally, the lens is weather-sealed to enable its use in trying weather conditions.

Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-45mm f/4 PRO Reviews
Street. Photography, Olympus is the best
First , I own 4. M 4/3 lens . 100-400, 12-100 pro, 8-25 pro and the new purchase 12-45 pro. Why buy the 12-45 pro when the 12-100 pro will do the job and is a excellent Lens. It is the size of the 12-45 pro ,small light weight perfect for the street , so easy to carry and conceal if needed. I own 4 Olympus cameras , using two for everyday shoots, om d e m1 mark III, and the older Om d e m1, yes this one is only 16 meg but. For street shooting does not matter. I also own Nikon and Pentax digital cameras, there also great cameras but they larger and not near as easy to grab and go when your out and about. Olympus just does it right for my type of photography.
Very nice...
I have been using Sigma Art lenses and Nikon D610. Decided to go smaller and lighter. Got the Olympus OM-D EM-1 MKii with this lens. Very happy. Im no a expert / but the results have been comparable to the full frame Nikon and Sigma ART lens.
A great professional lens
This 12-45 mm pro lens is super sharp for shooting in any situation even in low light situations. I tested it at many different aperture and iso settings even indoors without a flash. I am using this lens on a Om Em 1 Mark Iii . Lens is very fast for a multi function zoom at F4 through its entire zoom range 24-90mm 35mm or full frame equivalent.
Does the job.
Compact but well-built lens. Produces very sharp images. Love it.
A Very Handy Little Lens
In a world full of big, expensive new lenses, this little 24mm to 90mm equivalent f/4 lens stands out as a relatively inexpensive, versatile alternative, great for vacation, street and family photography. It's sharp, compact, and well made. And today, when cameras take decent quality photos with incredibly high ISO's and have in-camera stabilization, the whole f/4 thing doesn't matter as much as it used to. It's not big and heavy, so people on the street don't care as much if they see you taking their photo. It's a very handy little lens.
Perfect every day lens for M5.2.
I think the best aspect of this lens is the very low flare. I don't have all the Oly primes in this range but for sharpness and low flare at f4 this is a very good lens. Hopefully the 8-25 f4 will be this good.
Travel lens
Great travel lens, lightweight and well built produces sharp images. Despite the aperture being f4, the bokeh is pleasant.
Fantastic
I upgraded from a Lumix 12-44 (which I also liked) to this Oly 12-45 Pro. This is my absolute favorite everyday lens.
