Stepped Settings for Quick Operation
Swap through preset output levels of 100%, 75%, 50%, 25%, 10%, and off for quick and easily repeatable setups. Hold the same button to adjust color temperature between 3000K, 4300K, and 5600K modes to create different atmospheres or match different on-location lighting. Output is flicker-free at any output level.
Integrated Portability Features
The integrated 6400mAh lithium-ion battery operates the Q20 linear LED for up to 4 hours at 100% output. The integrated battery level indicator allows the remaining charge to be monitored. The battery is charged with the included charger via a micro-USB port, and the lamp may be used while charging. Please note, the light will not charge on a standard 5V USB charger. The light features a kill switch to disable battery operation for travel.

The Quasar Science Q20 Q-Lion is a solid little light and, overall, I'm happy with the purchase—especially considering the great price I paid. The build quality is good, the output is reliable, and the integrated battery makes it a convenient tool for quick setups and portable lighting situations.
However, there's one major drawback that keeps this from being a higher-rated product: the charging port. In 2026, it's hard to justify a professional lighting product still using Micro-USB instead of USB-C. Nearly every modern device has transitioned to USB-C, making Micro-USB cables increasingly inconvenient to keep around. It also means slower charging and less durability compared to current standards.
If Quasar had updated the Q20 Q-Lion with USB-C charging, this would easily be a 4- or even 5-star product for me. As it stands, it's still a good light with excellent value, but the outdated charging port is a frustrating oversight.

No, the Quasar Science Q20 Q-Lion Switch Lithium-Ion Linear LED Lamp (24") comes with the QC3.0 US Charger which is micro USB.
